My favorite: La Brea sitdown (not the quick side). I usually share the lox & bagel with my sister or daughter and get a Bloody Mary. The portion is very large and I've never seen such huge capers!! We slice them up. They also have good granola but the last time I was there (a couple of months ago), I requested it with milk rather than yogurt, which is what I always ask for, and the portion of granola was VERY tiny! However, when I remarked on this, the server went back and got me a whole mountain of granola 
. But they've also got other great options, like Croque Madame (?) and the wait has never been too bad. We like to people watch while we eat.
Worst breakfast we've ever had in DLR was at Uva. Just awful, plus the waiter spilled a glass of milk on me and never returned.
Other favorite is SH55. Never tried Catal. Since I'm a very early riser, I often grab a Starbucks coffee and go sit at Trader Sam's (outdoors). I'm the only one there and it's a very peaceful, pretty place to have a coffee.
