I don't, it's the traditional sounding doorbell.

I visited a model home a few days ago and the door bell sounded like a gong. I thought it was pretty unique.

yes...yes I do

It's a haunted mansion themed sort of chime :cloud9:

We can change ours - I think there are 12 different chimes to chose from.

Our doorbell plays songs. Currently it's programmed to Elvis Presley's "Love Me Tender" :goodvibes

Ours can be programmed to play anything and is preprogrammed with a couple dozen songs. Right now it's set to the William Tell Overature. Really!

Our front door is your standard song- can't remember the title of it, but the back door plays Dixie because DH LUVS the Dukes of Hazzard! He likes to go out and ring it. Someday he'll really need help at the door or something and we will still ignore him because we think he's just playing around.

Yes, and I cannot stand the thing. The person who owned the house before us installed it.

The first time our boys heard it they thought it was awesome. When they found out it could play a bunch of different songs they were hooked. That pretty much settled it that we were keeping it.

As much as I dislike it I tolerate it because the kids think it is cool. Also it gives me an "out" to the 6 year old who thinks we should put spinners on the mini-van.

We disconnected ours...somebody could ring it and wake us up!!!

I had no idea you could buy programmable doorbells that play different tunes, I may have to look into that!

Home Depot sells one in a very interesting way (at least the one here did!). You get the doorbell "guts" in either a wired or wireless option, then pick out the box you want to have mounted on the wall. We ended up picking out a really nice wood box that blends into the decor rather than the cheap white plastic cover that was originally there.

Now, Lowe's had one where you could put any music you want on it! I can't remember how you did it exactly, but somehow you record whatever you want to be the doorbell. They wanted too much for it though (around $100 or so, I think) but I thought it'd be fun. :)

Our original doorbell was awful---it was a extremely loud "DINGDONG". And since no one seems to be ever satisfied with ringing it just once, I'd instead hear "DINGDONGDINGDONGDINGDONGDINGDONG". What is it with people pushing that dang button repeatedly?! It's not just the kids' friends doing it either---even the mailman & UPS are guilty of it. I'd almost fly out of my skin every time it happened so I finally had enough & demanded we replace it a couple weeks ago. :)
