Let me preface this with the fact that we used to always fly Southwest and never had to pay bag fees.

After our cruise we will fly home with one of the participating airlines, who also charges $25 per checked bag. If Disney checks us in and checks our bags for us how/where do we get charged for and pay our bag fees? Don't we just go straight to our gate after we get dropped off?

Thank you.

I believe bag charges go to your onboard account. If you qualify for free bags (credit card, first class, etc.) then you need to stop by Guest Services to provide that proof.

Enjoy your cruise!

Yes, please know if you are entitled to free luggage and go to the guest services desk.

I had an issue where we were flying first class home and was charged $25 per bag. They didn't leave the package until late the night before and i was then rushing around in the morning when i noticed it and then had to run to guest services to get the money back...super hard to do it after the fact.

Disney charges if there needs to be a charge.

Disney has been VERY good *with us* about recognizing DH's airline status and not charging for all of our bags. I'm always surprised when someone has their 1st class or status ignored, because we've never had an issue with it.

side note if it helps anyone - on our Amex, luggage fees are reimbursed up to some certain amount. DCL charges them to your shipboard account and thus your CC will not reimburse them, if you have that benefit. i was annoyed at that.
