Do You Feel Bad When Someone HATES Disneyland?

My first trip to Disneyland was at three years old and I was hooked. I don't understand people who don't love Disney. It's my favorite place to visit. People who don't like Disney are like people who don't like puppies or babies. It's just too strange for me to understand!lol

I was at my second job yesterday working in the stock room and mentioned my upcoming trip. A gal stated firmly that she HATED Disneyland and would never go back. After asking why I found out that she had gone for one day, with obviously no planning, and had gone druing that horrific time frame in 09 when the Halloween thing was so crazy.
I feel bad when people just go with no forethought and run into an unusual circumstance that makes them just hate their trip. :( You can talk all you want about this and that and why, but still..if their first trip is spoiled this way, it makes it unlikely they will try again and discover any sort of magic. Anyone else run into this?

I hadn't comments on this thread because it is generally negative.

But to answer your question. If someone hates a place so many love, It is probably a sign of being shortsighted or closed minded.

I think that most people who "hate Disney" don't know what it really is or had a bad experience due to not planning. Some people don't like roller coasters and theme parks, but don't know what else DL has to offer. More so at WDW.
Then I feel bad for those who had a bad experience because they had no idea what was going on and that planning makes a difference.

Then there are the people who "hate Disney" as a corporation, but that is a separate discussion.

I don't think I have ever came across someone who genuinely hated Disneyland. Most people I know have either gone and loved it, or haven't gone and really want to go!

But I know everyone has different tastes and interests, but it is really hard for me to understand how someone could hate a place that so many people, including myself, love so very much! But I mean, I hate the snow and find it very uncomfortable and cold and a lot of people don't understand that.

This normally wouldn't bother me to answer, but my Premier Annual pass is about to expire ( I have had a Premium for 18 years now) and my dh doesn't want to renew.
My oldest dd had problems with rude cast members on her birthday and on our recent trip to WDW. She doesn't want a pass either. I am dying! The thought of no Mickey Mouse is almost unmentionable to me.
My dh is a huge Oregon Duck fan and I go along with his madness. I warned him that Mickey would be in our marriage too, but I am not sure what to do.
We are going to get Knott's AP's (gulp), but I am not sure I can go a whole year like a normal person and no Disneyland.
Some folks just don't get the dream we love... Show them love and understanding and turn up your Disney tunes a little louder. LOL!

..yeah i can't imagine not having my AP also.. and then there are those that look at you and go " you paid how much for a what??why?".. they just dont get it!

Nope!! There is more room for us true Disney Nuts!!

And I Truly feel sorry for the kid who asked for a Mickey ice cream bar or to ride in the stroller and gets yelled at "I spent all this money So YOU could have fun, now shut up and start having fun!!" by now the kids in tears. Nope! let them stay at home and save their money!! And SAVE the kids psyche!!
