We purchased an AP once. We used them for our July 2002 and our June 2003 visits. They did come in handy with the AP discounts and the unlimited access but we never did renew them after that. I found that by having the AP I was very addicted to wanting to go more than I should and found it very difficult not to book flights, etc . . .

DH was considering a trip 10/28 - 11/2 and purchasing AP because we are going 4/14 - 4/23 to WDW and a Disney Cruise. My question is . . .AP are good from the time you activate it until the following year to the date of activation. Now, if I wanted to renew my AP in 10/05, would that only be good from 10/05 - 10/06 or would it be good from the time of activation?

Anyone know?

Renewals begin on the day that the old pass expired:

1st Pass: 10/15/03 to 10/15/04

Renewal: 10/15/04 to 10/15/05

That's the case, even if you don't use your second pass until a later date in 2004/05.

As I understand it, it used to be that you could purchase a voucher for your renewal, and the dates would not actually begin until the voucher was redeemed. That is no longer the case. Now the dates are always consecutive on renewals.
