no. My siggy is three lines long. I don't think its gonna offend anyone. :confused3

Actually, it's 5 lines long. Gotta count those blank lines. :teeth:

But no, I don't think your sign is going to offend anyone. :)

I had no idea the option was there either. :rotfl:

Scrolling is a good way for me to work out my middle finger though! :lmao:

Actually, overlarge signatures are an annoyance to many posters.

Just looking at this page, four posters (the OP, Icebrat, Jimmiej and Tigger&Belle) have signatures that are larger than allowed by our signature guidelines. :)

In the case of the OP, the sig is rather long and requires scrolling to get past. You should have no more than 12 lines (text, blank lines, smilies, and count one for images) in a signature, and this one has more than that.

Photos need to be a max of 200 pixels tall, and the photos in the next two sigs are taller than that.

Tigger&Belle has 4 images in her sig, and the max allowed is 3.

Our signature guidelines are posted in a sticky at the top of the Tech Support forum: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=332080

While the fun stuff in signatures adds lots of life and personality to the forums, threads with more space dedicated to signatures than actual post content do annoy many posters. Also, signatures that are too large are subject to being deleted by the "signature fairy".

Check out the guidelines, and ask on the Tech Support forum if you don't understand the guidelines or need help in how to see if your sig is out of spec. :sunny:

Nope, Chachi's fine! (He did grow up cute, didn't he?)

Your images are small enough, and you don't have too many lines. No worries there. :thumbsup2

Is it the stupid hatching eggs that got me in trouble? I'll remove some or all again--I meant to put one in until it hatched and then forgot about it. So I need to remove 2 of them, right?

I just wanted to point out how that botton can be very useful. I have used it a couple of times when posting on sad threads. Of course no one would be offended by a signature when you are leaving a positive comment, but I personally feel a lot more comfortable leaving a message without a "happy themed" signature if you are posting about someones hardship.

Example:

I'm so sorry for your loss.

(followed by the signature)

okay. I couldn't remember if you counted blank lines or not. :p

I'm afraid to post here 'cause if my picture's too big, I don't know how to fix it! But anyway had to ask...where exactly is that button anyway?

OK, I removed my signature eggs and the rest of mine are drying up. Come on menopause, I'm ready! Oops, that's a different thread! :rotfl2:

tsk, tsk, tsk!

When you reply to a thread there is a button under "Miscellaneous Options" that you can check to show your signature.

Darn! I got busted by the webmaster. :sad2: I won't be home until Tuesday, I will do it then, unless of course, the siggy fairy wants to fix it for me. :teeth:
