Just sitting here hanging out till the inlaws (or soon to be inlaws) show up from out of town and was wondering how many of you enjoy having company and how many of you despise it?

Company... :thumbsup2 or :scared1:

I don't mind having company infact normally I enjoy it. It's an excuse for me to stop procrastinating and to clean my house spotless and till you can eat off the floors...lol. I can't stand having anyone over if the house is not very tidy.

The downside is normally my house is worse off after the company leaves than before I cleaned it up. :rotfl:

I also love to cook for friends/family so that's a plus side since our family lives a few hours away so it's not often that I get to do this.

It depends upon who the company is and how long they stay. : )

PixieDust, good point...=o)

A positive I guess to having a very small condo, not much room for sleeping over so we rarely get overnight company. DFiance's parents, sister and niece are just staying tonight and we are heading to WDW in the morning so it won't be too bad. This will be the first time they've stayed over in over a year since we've moved into this place. We used to have a four bedroom house so we always had overnight company living in FL by the beach and all.

I stress out before they come and while they are here. But I always enjoy having them.

:rotfl2: couldn't have said it better myself:thumbsup2 Wouldn't it be nice if it was acceptable to say..."You know, you're boring the crap out of me it's time for you to go." :rotfl:

I've actually done this to my sister who has driving me nuts! It was like pack up your stuff I'm driving you back home NOW.... :scared:

To my Mom's dismay her "no kids at home" vacation didn't last too long.

I love having company as long as I know they're coming ahead of time!
I hate hate hate drop in company.
But that was covered in another thread.:rolleyes1

No. DH and I lived away from family for a long time but moved closer to his family about 9 years ago. We got used to it just being us and now cant stand to have a house full of company. We cringe at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Superbowl, etc. cause we know we might be asked to entertain the whole bunch. We dont mind the inlaws so much but they tend to blab and invite the others. Before we know it, there are 15-20 people in the house.

Exactly! And whether or not I have to feed them has a lot to do with whether or not I enjoy it.
