Do you do Weight Watchers?

I did it in 2000 and lost 33 lbs and became a Lifetime member. I kind of slacked off a few years later and then in 2004 I got pregnant, and had a hard time taking the weight off. I tried doing it on my own because I knew how the program worked, but I was always cheating. I joined again last month and I have lost 4 lbs so far. I am determined to lose the weight again. You just have to really want this for yourself and put your mind to it. You can do it. I find that going to the meetings keeps yourself in check because the pressure of the weekly weigh in stops you from overeating.

I lost 60 lbs. with it in 2000-2001 and kept it off until 2003, when I got pregnant with DD. I've lost 47 of what I gained with DD. This is the ONLY program that works for me.

I joined Weight Watchers last January and I am down 51 pounds. I had joined so many times in the past. This is the best I have ever done. I agree with the person who said that any diet will work as long as you stick to it.

One of the things that has helped me this time, is that I am following the Core program and I do not feel deprived. The extra 35 points each week come in handy though. I do go to the weekly meetings and I really like my leader and the other people there are so nice. I look forward to the meetings each week. I am also excercising every day. I want to lose another 40 pounds.

I lost 65 pounds on WW, and as of this coming Saturday, I will have kept it off for two years :). I do the flex points, and I love it. I was only weighing in and skipping meetings for a few months, but I've felt myself slipping back into some old, fattening habits, so I'm back to staying for the meetings. It really does make a difference in my motivation.

I lost 20 pounds on the program just by changing my eating habits. When the weight loss slowed, I decided it was time to add that "activity" that my leader kept mentioning. What a difference! I went from being a total couch potato to someone who gets cranky if she doesn't have time for a workout.....that has been the most shocking change for me :).

If you can accept that it is a lifestyle, not a diet, then you're on the right track. It's not a temporary thing.....so don't do anything to lose the weight that you aren't willing to continue doing to maintain the loss.

Good luck!!!

I am currently doing WW. I joined in May and I've lost 38 pounds so far.

I joined WW the first time in the 1980's. I've lived through so many variations of their program I've lost count. My pattern was to lose 20 pounds then quit.

Any good program will work -- if you make it work. Most of the program is about what's in your head, not what's on your plate. What I like about WW is the concept that it's not a diet, it's alifestyle change. The meetings are a key component. I think this time I'll get to goal.

I have been a lifetime member now for just about a year. I lost 55 pounds doing the Core Plan. One person on this thread commented that WW is too flexible. That's why I prefer Core over Flex. I guess it just depends on the person. Another person asked if you have to attend the meetings. You don't have to but I would strongly recommend it. While I don't really socialize much at the meetings and I pretty much already know what the team leader is talking about, I find they do wonders to motivate me.
