I would love to get some ideas for matching or themed outfits. Please share pictures if you can too!

Disneyshopping.com has some great tropical print shirts in a full range of sizes right now. They are about $12 for adults and $10 for kids- marked down from about $40 each. We bought some in a different print for our last trip. Its the only time we've ever worn matching clothes. It was fun! We bought matching ears that day in the park and wore them as well.

My husbands aunt, grandparents, and cousins are big into the matching outfits. They either all wear the same shirt, or the same theme. We are starting to get into it too!! DH has a Donald shirt...and I have a shirt that says "I *heart* Cranky Boys" with a picture of Donald. We ALL have matching theme shirts. Disney store had the "tiki" shirts on sale for 5$ each so we all got a different one.

My DW and I just had a friendly dispute over this exact topic last night...

I have a pair of the plaid bermuda shorts that are my favorite thing ever, and of course, DW despises them with a passion. So, she asked if we should all plan on matching at the park at least one day and I said "Sure, lets all wear plaid shorts!" :rotfl2: She didn't think it was so funny.

We did however agree that having our DD5 and DS6 matching as close as possible would help in a lost kid incident... We can just point to the one we still have and say "DD/DS looks like that one, only is a girl/boy".

Okay... thanks for the laugh.:rotfl:

I did dress my boys in matching shirts every day, for exactly the same reason SunDevilDaddy stated. I chose shirts from the Disney store or online disneyshopping.com for Disney themed shirts. I bought the brightest colors they had, figuring it would make the kids easier to spot in a crowd. :rotfl:

We had several sets of orange, a bright yellow, a more golden yellow, a couple lime green, I think a red, and a set of matching turquoise shirts for the whole family. DH wasn't big on the matching shirts for the adults, but thought we looked pretty cool all together. :thumbsup2

We saw many big groups all wearing matching shirts like ours, and it did make them easy to spot. One group must have had like 30 people!

Along the lines of keeping kids safe, I also printed up some address labels on the computer, just typed in our name (not the kids' names) and DH's cell number in case the kid got lost. I stuck it to the inside of their shirt so it woudln't be seen unless it was needed.

On our last trip our group (22 of us) dressed in matching shirts on two of the four days. It made a huge difference in locating someone in a crowd. You'd be amazed at the comments we received from cast members and visitors alike. We are from Nebraska so all of us had a red Husker shirt. That was an easy match day. We decided to go with a tie dye shirt the other day. We ordered online from tiedyeusa.com. The minimum order to get the steep discount was 24 or 25. If you don't have that large of a number, you can still get a good deal at about $10 each. We wore one called Blue Jerry (Jerry Garcia). We were singled out by a cast member and everyone received Disneyland Pins. We were also singled out at the Block Party Bash when the head army guy found us in the crowd and said, "It's a blue day? I didn't get the memo." If we all go again, we'll probably try to have the same shirts for every day that we're in the parks.
**Check out the pic with my signature. It was our Husker day. Go Big RED!**

Man, DH would kill me if I made us wear matching outfits. I think I'll have to do that. It's like in Hawaii, when you get matching Hawaiian shirts, including huge muumuus. I'm laughing at the picture :)

I do the same thing!! Thankfully my boys are young enough and don't complain about what they wear. :)

We do that too! Same shirt, different sizes. I just bought a whole bunch of brightly colored shirts (red, yellow, orange) in size medium (DS6) and large (DS8). Easy enough to figure out what they're wearing each day!

Oh, and we all wore (different) Hawaiian shirts to the Lilo & Stitch breakfast. The pictures from there look great, lots of color and fitting the theming of the room! :thumbsup2

My Mom dressed my brother and I alike for the first 12 years of my life. At 5 and 6 it wasn't a big deal, but at 11 and 12 I started to get annoyed. Whats funny is that when I took my wife back home to a family reunion she pulled me aside and asked why ever picture of me and my brother as kids we were dressed identically.

LOL... I guess the insanity runs in the blood:rolleyes1

I dressed my kids alike on our last trip... we did the Disney Shopping websites Logo T shirts they make them in adult sized too but I knew DH would not go for it. I got the kids last years Hawaiian Dresses/ shirts and got myself the mens shirt... we were somewhere in the park and a man in front of us in line wearing the matching shirt my DH was not so everyone assumed he was with us We had a hard time explaining to the person loading the ride NO the dad with us was the one in the green adidas shirt not the one in the exact matching shirt to mom 2 sisters and a brother we ended up taking a family group picture with him... we had also bought the girls clearance shirts at Kohls that said something about Florida 3 different families on the Disney bus had these same shirts it was like some odd family reunion with people we weren't related to

Hey, we got some of the $5 tikki shirts too! I think I can convice DD to wear hers on our last day since it's an "airplane" day and I won't let her wear a princess dress.

I have in the past tried to coordinate our outfits a bit, ie. we'd both wear a buzz lightyear shirt, but this is our first exact match. However, since she now likes to wear a princess dress everyday, we don't match. :)

The sweetpea and I wear matching shirts pretty often. It's fun and silly and we have always enjoyed it. On saturday we took my nephew and my boyfriend with us and all four of us wore matching shirts. I was surprised my boyfriend went along with it. He was a good sport about it. Heck, he even helped pick out the shirts. Its a great way to get attention from the CMs and also to pick each other out quickly.

We try and match Disney shirts if possible. For some reason they make the adults or kids slightly different quite often. Expedition Everest at WDW actually had identical kids and adult shirts. We bought one in every color.

My cousins family just wear matching colors, like her dd wears a yellow dress, she wears a nice shirt, dh wears a yellow polo, ds wears a yellow tee, etc.

Lands End is great for matching colors. We did that for casual nights on the Disney Cruise. The boys (ds6 and dh) had polos and I had a nice scoop neck with the exact same shade.

In December at WDW we saw a family of 4 all with the red Incredibles icon shirts. Totally cute. We're going to do those as well at DL in October. Just for something fun and different to help get us into the spirit. Not that we need help.

We all where matching T shirts i might be able to get a pic ( most of the time it will be in WDW)

TO Epcot we wear the Disney chracters rolled into balls
To the Mk we wear the matching Mickey Tie die shirts
To MGM we wear  i just had a brain fart and forgot oh wait we wore Incredible shirts
To Ak we wear EE shirt
To DL we wore the matching Mickey Tie die
To DCA

But wearing matching t shirts helps identify your group and if they are cool t shirts you get complements:thumbsup2

I watch disneyshopping for sales. Last year we got tshirts for under 5 dollars in matching colors. For Christmas trip to DL, I bought red mickey christmas sweater. I am not sure how long son will wear it, or if the weather will be too warm, but it was to cute to pass up for 9.00. If nothing else, hope to get a nice Christmas card photo.pixiedust: pixiedust:
