Do you DIBB ? (Can I ask that?)

Yes I do but never post offers or info in new threads on there, I often take them from there and post on here but after posting 1 or 2 realised I got no thanks for doing it, the mods just move things from somewhere useful to a wherever they feel like putting them.
I also find it a very argumentative forum, if you don't agree with what they think it can get very unpleasant, I think on here majority of us understand theres no right and no wrong planning a trip to Florida, we are all different.
Probably due to amount of members they have they get the same questions asked over and over, often all the same page, no-one seems to read before posting.
I will help whenever I can on there as I do here but majority on there are user names(a few exceptions)to me, on DIS (UKTP & UK Comm) we are a lot closer and I class everyone as friends with names not users and usernames. I would honestly like to meet every single person that posts on here without exception, I couldn't say that about any other forum I use.

Yes its not as busy on here but IMO its quality, Dibb is quantity. Not sure if its recession related or not, hopefully more will keep joining us here.

I agree with this mostly. The Mods are very draconian, and it does seem very sponsor directed influenced. Nevertheless, I enjoy both forums...

I reckon the only way to sort this is for us all to meet up on Main Street and have a big fight - but to make it more interesting we can all pick 6 Disney characters for our team.
I vote for Sorceror Mickey (he can kick butt big time - even if they choose the baddies) and after watching Shrek 3, any 5 of the Princesses will do. They are really scary when in a bad mood.

I am a member over there too but stopped posting a few years ago when researching our first trip to DLRP as I found that everyone seemed to have such a downer on the place and it was making me depressed!

I occasionally lurk but only very rarely as I feel that I can find out everything I need to on here and also I feel that people on here are real friends as opposed to user names. Of course, I am sure that is because I am not a regular poster on there, I expect I would be saying differently if I was.

I am also an infrequent visitor to Passporter, Cruise Critic, DLRP Magic and DLP Info forums ~ it is great that the internet has opened all these communities up to us. However did people manage to plan their holidays before?

Interesting that you say that Elaine, as I have been looking on both boards the last couple of weeks for Disneyland Paris, and the Dibb was really beginning to put me off going!!! (I have been before - and I couldn't believe it could have changed so much in the 2 years or so since I last went when we thoroughly enjoyed it!!)

Sorry folks we have decided to close the thread, Its not realative to planning and don't want it turning into an 'us and them' thread. We all have friends that post on both sites and we get along well together, don't want that to change.
