Having grown up in California, I get very nostalgic when I go to Disneyland. When we are at the gates waiting to go in and the countdown starts, my eyes start to fill. By the time we walk under the arch and onto Main Street, the tears are streaming down my face. This happens every time on the first day we go to Disneyland. My DH and DD think I am nuts and just roll their eyes at me. Makes me laugh and then the tears are over! It is part of the ritual at this point!

This does not happen to me at all when we enter Disney California Adventure. Although I love that park too.

I'm just wondering if I will get that same feeling going to MK? Or Epcot? Or AK? Or HS? Our first day will be Epcot. Second day AK. Third day will be MK.

Or maybe I will cry with joy every day as it will be my first time ever at Walt Disney World!!!

I haven't been to WDW in over 30 years, but I know I'll be crying when I see DD5's amazement and wonder in just a few weeks. She has no idea we're going. Ok, I'm crying now!

We always go to Epcot on our last night. I will admit to getting a wee bit weepy when they play Promise as we leave the park

I always take the ferry to the Magic Kingdom on my first day. and I admit I tear up hard when I see the castle getting closer and closer

I just about cry every time I see the MK fireworks! Not sure if I'm that happy or my feet are killin' me by that time of night! :tinker:

I don't all out cry, but I do get teary the first time in the MK each trip, the first time I see the Disney sign getting on to property, and the last time I leave the MK before heading home. And I have raised my DD22 and DD18 the same way. The still get that look on their face and see the joy even after all these years. My DH and DS14 know to humor us.

I cry when I watch the Opening Ceremony on youtube, (never seen it in person), but I've never cried actually at the parks. However I think this time around I'm gonna be a mess. Nothing wrong with emotions. Cry away!

I don't have that cry reaction, but I do get a great big smile on my face and my son gets that same big smile (We give each other those million dollar smiles and know we are thinking the very same thing). And I feel like dancing and singing Zippity do dah. // no wonder I've done 38 visits since 1971 the year the park opened. lol // Oh and I'm not talking about a smile shared with a little kid -- my son is 19 and in college.

I cry when I see the welcome to Walt Disney world sign. Then I cry when I watch the MSEP. And I cry watching the castle fireworks.

I don't cry when I walk in any parks though, I think I am too commando to take all in at that moment.

I get teary-eyed when I see the Magical Express bus..I'll be worse this year when my DS sees everything for the first time. Hopefully I can hold it together the first tine he sees Mickey  ::MickeyMo

I got a little teary when we first arrived at MK on our first trip. It was a long road for us to get there. This time around, I need to try to keep it together and not start blubbering when my two year old meets Minnie Mouse for the first time.

This video gets me every time and I'm not sure why, but oh the tears...

I cry or get teary, the first day we get there and go to MK. Always when we leave the park the last time for that visit. And, usually at the MK fireworks, especially the first and last time we watch Wishes. We usually get in 4 - 5 times of seeing Wishes on a 10 day trip. My DD24 thinks I'm crazy and laughs, though she sometimes cries at the last night. She says she doesn't cry mush anymore cause she knows we'll be back but still... It's Walt himself, and all he's created and shared for us that sorta makes me tear up or cry the first time back each visit, and of course, the beautiful castle all lit up in the castle dream lights! It's seems lots of people cry, but I have yet to see anyone else but me crying, lol! I've gotta watch more closely next time!

My DD8 and I were at the Walt Disney Family Museum this past Saturday. When we got to the last room, the one about Walt's death, my DD8 just stood there and cried for about 10 minutes. She might have been the loudest, but she was not alone.

I just smile really big going in, but I do cry when I have to leave, and during the fireworks, sometimes during the parade. Though there genrally is a corrolation between the music playing and if I cry. Play wish upon a star or at last I see the light and I'm garunteed to cry!
