Do you chat with your "neighbors"?

Exactly! I just want everyone to have an enjoyable experience.

It drives my normally reserved DH nuts how I'll start a conversation with strangers in a cash register line, or at an airport, or at WDW.
LOL. This is exactly how my DH feels when I do what JimC does. I explain at WDW that we are in my "special place" he knows how I am and people aren't annoyed, bothered and are in fact appreciative so he has learned to "get over it" :teeth: In non-Disney settings I am sneakier about the conversations and assistance.

not Me
tixx, you cracked me up because that is my reaction to talking on the balcony. I would never speak to neighbors on the balcony because that is my "alone" time so I would avoid eye contact, however if they spoke to me I would absolutely speak back.

I end always helping at least one person a day - I think I look like I want to help and DW has remarked that I look somewhat like I work there between knee length shorts, my disney pins, khaki shirt etc.....

One day I was approached five different times for help

:p

Just curious if on the balcony or other area of the resort how many people go out of their way to say Hi to a fellow DVC'er? I try to do it but sometimes I get the "Why are you talking to me look". Maybe it's just me but I don't think we're a scary looking family. LOL :)

Yes, we say things like, "Quit running up and down the halls/rooms" or "Quit leaving your garbage in the hallway" or "Quit smoking in a non-smoking area" or "Less noise, it is after 11 pm!" or "How about letting us OFF the elevator before you try to get ON??" :teeth:
