Do you carry a purse???

If I am headed to the pool I carry a beach bag with suntan lotion, Kindle, camera, hair clip and brush and also throw in my lanyard. Otherwise I just have my lanyard and camera. DH gets to carry my KTTW card unless I have pockets to dinner.

During the day to the beach or pool I will use a beach/tote bag to hold sunscreen, camera, Kindle and my RX sunglasses. Around the ship I'll put my KTTW card in a lanyards. For dinner I won't carry anything if DH has on a suit or sportcoat with pockets. Then he'll carry the camera. If he doesn't have pockets then I'll just carry the camera.

I also use a Dooney DCL wristlet .. they're less than $50 and they're so lovely!! :thumbsup2

I'm a KTTW card and lanyard girl. I either carry my iPhone in my pocket or leave it in the safe.

The only time I carry a purse is when I go to eat. I need to have my reading glasses to be able to read the menu. I have a tiny purse that I carry for that. Other than that, I put my room key on a lanyard, and any other small items I may need in my pockets. It's one of the perks of a cruise, to be able to go around & not shlep a purse while on the ship.

Sayhello

Same here.:thumbsup2

Just around the ship- I usually just card my KTTW card and ID in a lanyard, my husband carries a small camera.
At the pool- we bring a tote for sunscreen, cover ups, books, etc.
In port- I usually just carry a wristlet for valubles, unless we're doing a beach excursion. Anything else I need that's not valuble (like hand sanitizer, etc) goes in my pockets.
I think for our Alaska cruise, I'm going to need to bring the tote for jackets, ponchos, etc. :goodvibes

Does anyone have a recommendation for a small purse/wristlet to carry my camera? (Its smallish - a Canon G11). Everything I find is too big or too small - I can't remember what I used to carry to dinner on cruises, back when I was single. (Could it have been the alcohol? Nah...:rotfl:)

This is what I used on my cruises. It has a clear pocket for my KTTWC, is the perfect size for my Sony Cybershot camera, and has a small pouch just big enough for any cosmetic do-dads I wished to carry. I used it for excursions, and onboard. The strap is adjustable and can also be removed. I received mine as gift, but I believe I have seen others like it at Target/Walmart type stores.

Hi,

I have a small crossbody bag that carries my KTTWC, camera, hand wipes, pen, folded up Navigator, meds. etc.

I like a wristlet and I want to buy one of those cute DCL ones when I'm on my cruise.

Tell me about cooling spray. Interesting.

Yes, I'm not sure if they still make it, but it's called "Avon Healthy Remedies Total Body Cooling Spray" by Avon of course. I bought about 3 bottles (one for home, one for work, and one if I run out) and I still have about one bottle left. It works fantastic! I just hope that there is something else that is currenty on the market when this runs out!!!

Happy sailing!!!!! :banana::banana:

small container of sun screen
cell phone (since I don't wear a watch)
KTTW cards
camera
Navigator
Nook

I'll add to that:
chapstick
magazine
small bottle of liquor (to mix with free soda/punch)

I used a tote bag the first day then bought an adorable messenger bag on the cruise and used that the rest of the time.

Actually the stuff I usually carry in my purse stayed in the stateroom. So no, not a purse, but I like having my stuff with me, especially my kindle.

On past cruises I haven't carried a bag, but this time (in Alaska) I believe I will. I am looking for a cross-body bag that can carry my iPad, the navigator and a few other do-dads. I would also use it as my handbag while flying and touring before the cruise.

When I don't need to have my iPad with me, I will just stick to my lanyard.

I have a Coach wristlet that I *could* take on the cruise with me. But, it's all leather. Would it be stupid to carry that all over the ship? :confused3

(I'm really thinking that this is a good opportunity to go buy myself a new Coach wristlet that's not made out of leather, so please don't squelch my dreams too much. But at the same time, I DO want to know the truth of whether or not the leather one would be practical or not. ;))

Also, should I bring a larger purse of any kind for any reason? I mean, will there ever be a time when I would NEED a purse, and the wristlet wouldn't be enough?!

Oh gosh. I always have either a purse or a backpack, depending on the activity. I need my stuff! :)

I think I am going to have a string backpack. I usually have a lightweight backpack when we travel, but now I want to go even lighter! No purse for me!

Oh, I think you NEED a Coach wristlet that isn't leather. You'd hate to drop it in the pool, or spill a drink on it. *winks*

I say that because I wouldn't mind getting a Vera Bradley Hipster or Pocket tote for shlepping my stuff in, plus it would be good for ports (not Rome or Naples) where I don't need to worry as much about a secure bag...

Do you think the wristlet will be big enough or should I get a small canvas-type Coach bag instead? I mean, I'd HATE to get the wristlet and then have it not be big enough. ;)
