Do you call a few days ahead of your trip to confirm your reservation? Just wondering what people do. THis is our first DVC trip (in 6 days:banana: ). We are staying at 3 different places over a 12 day period so there are a lot of confirmation numbers. The DVC website won't let my look at my reservations. Has anyone else had this problem over the last week or so?

I mailed off a package to VWL yesterday...I hope it arrives safe and sound.:flower3:

I don't call, I just make sure to bring my copies of my reservations with me and show them at check in. They seem to pull up the ressie more quickly when I just show them these. You don't have to bring them, but I just feel more at ease when I have them with me. Especially when I have multiples.

I don't call either, but when I receive the confirmations in the mail, I do go on my DVC website to make sure that the "upcoming vacations" info matches that on the confirmations. :thumbsup2

Have fun! I just mailed my package to VWL yesterday too! We have mailed things in the past, and there have been no problems.

I would call MS to verify if you want, but I have never done so.

I have been a member for over 10 years, with 2-4 trips per year, never called to confirm, never needed to. Just bring your confirmation slips with you, in case there is a problem. I read once on this board that someone's parents had trouble upon check-in, so they were upgraded to a Grande Villa!! I keep trying for that Grande Villa, but my ressies are always in order--darn!!:lmao:

We too have been members for more than 10 years and have never called. I agree, just bring your confirmation slips along, even though you don't really need them.

I received my written confirmation for my trip in November. In September, I added a day to the that reservation. To date, I have not received an updated confirmation in the mail, but the DVC website is correct.

Should I be concerned that I have nothing in writing? I leave in 23 days.

I had the same situation with out trip in September and did not have any problems. The CM said the confirmation number stayed the same just the number of days changed. You can check on the website and make sure the correct number of points has been used under the activity section is you are concerned. It seems no one can get into the vaction details section lately.

In about 20 trips to Disney (but only 5 DVC trips), I've never called to confirm a reservation, and have never had to show a confirmation, either...

But for Jan trip this year, booked with double developer points and so they don't show up on the website, I'm both calling ahead of time and bringing my confirmation! And every time I call MS (not all that often!), I check "just to be sure" that DbleDP reservation is still there!

Once we have recieved confirmation by mail... we sit back and just wait for the day to leave... Confirmation in hand we have never had a problem.

thanks for the info everyone:)

a little drama going on in my house. Both my girls have fevers:confused: no other symptoms. We have 6 days to go....here's hoping they are better by then.:flower3:

Usually 1 month or so I will conform.
