Do you call Socks underwear or something else?

No doubt about it. Socks are most definitely socks. Underwear goes under your indoor wear. Shoes are outdoor wear making socks indoor wear. Now if you wore something under your socks - that would be underwear!

I think I'm the start of the whole "socks are underwear" debate, so I'll weigh in. If I say "I have on new underwear" (can't imagine why I'd be saying that, but you get my drift) I mean my panties. However I consider socks, bras, panties, slips, etc. all to be part of the underwear 'category'. I consider pants, shirts, shoes to be outerwear - meaning they are the layer that is visible when fully clothed.

I guess they are underwear and I wouldn't know what else to call them. I don't have any problem showing them though, like I might with my underwear. Then again, I don't have any problem showing a little bit of them sometimes either. DBF accuses me of having a wee bit of exibitionist in me.

No...I don't consider socks to be underwear. I have too many of them to have them share drawer space with my underwear--socks have their very own drawer.

As I stated in the other thread--I'm a brazen hussy who will show my socks to anybody who wants to see them. The list of people to whom I would show my underwear is much shorter.

To me, socks are underwear. Mostly because I wash them in the "underwear" load...which includes panties, bras, and socks.

Umm...pretty short! DH, DD, my mom, my sisters, and my doctor. Not that I've had a lot of people ASK...
