Do you bring your own cups?

A question for those who bring their own Yeti/Tervis/etc.: I thought that I had read where there were signs at the drink station saying to only use the provided cups, not your own (presumably for sanitary reasons). Is that the case? And if so, do you use the provided cups to fill/refill your personal cup?

Yes, and yes.

I think most cruise lines have this policy now.

Is it annoying? Yes. But it makes sense from a hygiene perspective and it takes slightly more time to fill the cup, so at the end of the day it’s fine.

We only bring refillable water bottles for excursions, and the kids might walk around the ship with them. Otherwise we're just using the cups provided.

Does anyone know how many oz. are in the small cups they provide? Or at least a picture of it?

Yes, I use the paper cup to fill my TERVIS, I do not put my cup up to the ice maker or fountains. I drink a lot of water and when I’m laying on deck at Satellite Falls, I don’t want to run back to refill. Also, fill with water to take to my cabin at night. I think the water tastes fine, and we live in Florida, and I drink bottled water at home.

We do not bring our own cups. We don't want to have to keep up with them.

We are bringing our own cups. We plan to just use the provided cups and dump into ours. Just for water as we don't drink soda.

We take our large Yetis with handles. We also bring either a Kleen Kanteen, or Yeti's new screw top bottle for excursions. The less plastic you use, the less will end up in the Carribean or any ocean.

I brought a big bottle, but then I never wanted to carry it around. I ended up being fine with the provided cups. We did bring it on a beach excursion though.

We brought cups and did not use them once! They're off the packing list for cruise #2. :)

I believe it's at least 8 oz. Could be more.

I believe they are 12 oz (at least the hot beverage cups are).

I bring a 32 oz Hydroflask. It has a screw-on top that has a rubber handle. I use one of the drink cups to add ice and use the same cup to fill it with water from the drink stations. It's easy to carry, and the water stays cold, even overnight. It does not fit in any theater cup holders so I either hold it or put it a bit under my seat to prevent blocking the row in which I am seated.

We brought plastic resort mugs on our last couple of cruises, They do take up space, but weigh next to nothing, and I can manage four of them in a single trip. Kids always get thirsty at the most inconvenient times - like middle of the show, or middle of the night, so it's best to be prepared.
For excursions we use kids' Thermos Funtainers, and Yeti / S'well for adults.
