I understand about the school hols as that is we are going Dec 2012 before our DD starts school Sept 2013!
Have you thought about a hotel rather than a villa? I have found that a villa only works out quite reasonable if there are going to be lots of you - or at least a few adults sharing the cost!
In a lot of hol brochures there are places that have apartment style hotels so you would still have the "self catering'" aspects but without the villa pricetag!

Good luck with your search.

The 4 bed villa we are renting for 4 weeks in August comes to £1400 and I think you'd struggle to find anything but the most basic of hotels at that price. For that we get 4 beds, 3 bathrooms, our own pool, a games room, loads of TVs, our own laundry room the list goes on.

Is it 2 adults and one child? What dates do you want?

If you give us a few more details such as number of adults/children and dates we can see if we can find a better price for you.

And what flights were you quoted on and what type of car?

Also if you tell us what you want then we can have a look to see what deals are around.

It is quite late for June but not impossible.

The four bed villa we are renting comes to £900 for two weeks, The 3 bed condo we rented last time was about the same for 2 weeks.

Not sure where you are looking but that seems very expensive.

We will not now or ever spend 2 weeks in a hotel room. Not a holiday for us.

Edited to add I just saw that included flights maybe not as bad as I first thought. Our flights cost for 2 adults 2 children and a baby £1800 but we had miles and money via virgin and we have chosen to fly into Miami for availbity and price.

it was for 2 adults and 1 child with a basic car flying from manchester i think it was on or around the 7th june for 2 weeks, we want to stay in a villa so we can cut the cost of the meals, ie a packed lunch for the theme parks and also have a nice pool to try and teach our daughter to swim in, we have stayed at the enclave suites before it was ok just wanted a bit more room with a 4 year old running about a hotel room would feel cramped

Flights booked with VA direct MAN-MCO are currently £1395.77

Economy Car through USrentacar with Alamo £336

Leaving you £1100 for the villa.

Or I just a ran a quote trough Travel City Direct - Flights on VA, Smallest car with Ins, 3 bed std villa £2292.50

All of these are 7th June for 14 nights.

I don't know enough about villas (don't enjoy them myself would rather be onsite) to know how much they go for privately.

thanks elise the flight prices must of come down a little as it was only gatwick showing that low the other week i wonder how standard the standard villas are?

Why not checkout the villas on here, they are always happy to help and give you info

Why not try September, it's one of the cheaper months and if you stay in a moderate/delux Disney hotel you will get free dining.

We found Windsor Hills very good when we went, we did stay in a condo which suited our needs, you can see some pics in my trip report linked at the bottom of the page.

I think generally they are all very similar slighty different decor and maybe what the kitchens supply.

All the condos are within very easy walk of the main pool, but you can also hire pool homes. We have decided to do that this year and get one with a pool so the kids can get better with their swimming, they do lessons here but lack the practical 2 weeks solid of just messing around in the water to help it all jell together.

We have rented through a family at my sons school for the pool villa.

I used this website first time round - http://www.windsorhillsrent.com/ we loved it here and are a bit dissapointed not to be returning to Windsor Hills - next time eh :) If you put in your requirements you will get a ton of emails quoting you prices if they have avalibility. I then put together a spread sheet, got rid of the most expensive and the cheapest (rightly or wrongly first trip and all I thought I would go mid range just in case, I haven't read many bad reports of Windsor Hills) then I looked for places that had the amenities we required, in our case it was highchair cot and stuff - although you guys could probably use a pushchair to save bringing or renting one for your little girl.

Then I whittled it down to a few places and emailed some questions and may a decision, all very time consuming but fun all the same. You will get a good idea of prices, and they only email you once they don't keep at you after that first contact.
