Do UK guests get pincodes??

Have just been reading a thread on the US site about being sent pincodes for offers and Room discounts. Do UK guests ever get offered these? If so do u have to register anywhere to get them?
Anyone ever had one and used it or are the UK offers normally better.
I also read that only a 2 day ticket needed to be bought to get free dining in the US for a longer stay . Is this correct?

I've never had a pin code. You can't do anything to get one apart from sign up to all things Disney and provide your e mail. I'm not sure they ever get sent to UK guests. Certainly in 8 years of frequenting forums I've never heard of anyone getting one. Sorry!

Free dining must be purchased as a length of stay package with tickets and room. Unfortunately you can't have a room for say, 7 days, but only use dining and tickets for a couple. You could make separate bookings though.

Generally I think the UK offers are better - but only for longer stays and if you're prepared to book a year in advance.

I know we cant but I just read that a guy had bought his tickets for a week stay and to get the free dining he would have to buy a minimum two night ticket to get the full 7 nights free dining. Seems weird to me that buying a 2 day ticket gets free dining for all the stay???

Despite booking all my WDW accommodation direct with US Disney (when not staying on DVC points), the only time I've ever been offered a pin was for when Disney Cruise Line were sailing out of Dover a few years back.

That's it, nadda, zilch, nothing more. I think they only offer them to US residents as, well, they know where you live and for the most part they want you to go via WDTC UK.

That said, most often when I've looked, the pins aren't normally different from the Public Offers, they just can get them a little sooner.

Requirements can change per offer and Free Dining isn't guaranteed, but yes a 2 day base MYW ticket was required along with a minimum 3 (maximum 14) night stay.

In my experience, unless you're only planning to stay on site a few nights, or you have missed Free Dining OKW/Saratoga offers in the UK already, then the UK offers are very hard to beat.

I used to get several a year until about two years ago and then they just stopped. The US site used to operate independently to the Disney International one and it seemed like every time I was fiddling around on the US site a code would arrive by email a few weeks later. Now that they have merged, I think it all works on your location, i.e. only for US residents.

It was also a bit of a lottery because it seemed like using their site did not necessarily ensure you got pin codes. There was this random pool of people who got them regularly and nobody else ever got any. Completely strange.

I think he was misinformed for 7 days FD, you need 7 day tickets!

Maybe FD isn't available for one night stays - ie you only qualify for FD with a minimum two night stay?

You are correct for UK bookings but booking FD via the US site has different rules and a one or two day base ticket per guest per room is all that is usually required. They vary the requirements slightly but I've never seen it with more than a 2 day base ticket needed. I'm assuming the OP is referring to a US guest or one who made a booking on Disney.com or over the phone to the CRO in the USA.

Sorry you are misinformed for the free dining you need to buy a three night stay and a 2 day ticket. So if you book ten nights you still only need a 2 day ticket and you get free dining for the whole ten days. We just did that.
We are also in Canada and got the pin to do so. I think the UK sales are always better than the free dining pin so I can see why they don't send pins to people living there.

Yes a US guest. I was just curious if the pincodes were offered to UK guests but thanks everyone for clearing that up. Even With DVC points its sometimes nice to add on a couple of nights even better with free ddp

If you keep an eye on the free dining watch thread closer to the time you can still book the public offer. As a previous poster mentioned, the pin codes didn't offer better deals for the most part; they just got a head start on the public with the offers as availability is limited.

No US guest only have to buy a 2 day ticket!
We did this last year booked through the US site and only brought 2day ticket and had free finding at Poly for 14 days, we kept the 2 day tickets as we had actually already brought 14 day ultimates

We have had PIN codes from time to time.

Our last stay in Oct 2013 was booked with a PIN code for free QSDP which we upgraded to ddp. This was staying at a value resort in October. They did later open the dates to the general public.

We had booked 2 previous stays with US disney.

We regularly receive pincodes-also receive offers for Canadians too,for some bizarre reason.

However,we've never actually used any of the offers-although some have been very appealing-as we've always already booked another trip.
And sadly,can't afford extras-nor does Dh get enough annual leave.
