do things calm down in MAY???

I was there April 30 thru 5-5 last year and things were not so bad,but how does the rest of the month compare??? It has too be better than Summer! I have never been in peak season??

I was thinking of planning a short trip with DD for next May around the 19th. I know it will be busy,but is it better than June?

I just don't want to go in the middle of Summer.....

June, July and August are very crowded and very hot! Starting at Easter and going through about Labor Day, you'll find crowds pretty much all the time, but May is kind of the little break between Easter and summer. Still crowded, but less so.

May is a slow month, January and September are even slower as far as crowds are concerned. Have a good time, it will not be busy.

We've been twice in May. Once around the first week of May and once around the third week of May. We loved it. It is hot, but with planning (EE, break midday, fast pass, etc...) we didn't have any troblewith the crowds. I think you may also hit the Epcot Flowere and Garden Show, which may not sound that interesting, depending on what youa re into, but there are awesome topiaries shaped liek characters all over Epcot. Very cool. My kids got a kick out of them, too (and they were young).

Just go early enough to avoid Memorial Day Weekend. Hope that helps. Enjoy!!

DD's school is supposed to be out May 19th next year and that is when I would want to go....Before Memorial day hits....

Just have to hope for not too many snow days to mess us up!!!

We will see..... All else fails and I will take her out of school a couple days and we will go anyway.... Easter is early in 2005.. March 27th I think????

So that gives us a couple months to work with....

May is a great time to go. I have gone in May for the last four years and have had no trouble with crowds. The most I have waited for a ride was 15 minutes.

My family of six went to Disney in May, 2000, the crowds weren't bad at all. It was in the middle of the month. My DH and I are returning in May this year, I know it will be great again!!!

May ex Memorial Day Weekend is a great time to go - it does start to get hot and humid though - we went last May and are going again this May

We were skeptical about going in May also, we usually go in Dec. But we'll be there from May 23-28, I hope it's warm and not too crowded. I know it'll be Star Wars Weekend at MGM, but I don't think we'll bump into that. And I hear the Flower showcase at Epcot is really neat...so we're gonna give May a try and cross our fingers!

We usually go around the first week of May. This year May 5 - 12. I have found it is the best time to go. Everything seems to be open, and the crowds are usually fine. MK is the usually the most crowded, but as long as you avoid a weekend day at that park, you should be fine. We usually do not experience long waits, and have never been disappointed.

Although, I shouldn't tell you this, because then our secret will be out, and many others may follow.

We were there Memorial day weekend in 96 on our honeymoon and it was hot and crowded, hopefully this time will be a bit better since it is the weekend before.

We've gone the last three years in May and it has been great. Most all rides are open, the weather is warm, and the crowds are not bad at all.

Wait, if I make it sound too good, it may drive up the demand for May...

I meant to say that it is cold, too many rides are closed and the crowds are huge and cranky.

We are going to be there May 22-28. Can't wait since this trip wasn't even planned until last week. The last time I was at the world in May was in 95 and 97. The weather was great and the crowds were fine. I have noticed that the parks, at least the MK, seem to be staying later now than back then. Our last trip was October of 02 so it is good to hear that the crowds aren't too bad.

I'm another one who just planned a quick trip last week for 5/15-5/19/04. I've never been in May but I've always wanted to see the Epcot Flower & Garden show and I got a great deal on the airfare. I'm hoping the weather won't be too hot and the parks not too crowded. I usually go in Nov/early Dec, with a couple of March/April trips thrown in.
