Do they serve wine on the Magical Express? October 2011 --- We're back! TR started!

Great PTR - can't wait to read how the trip goes!

And I love the theme nights! This is such a cute idea, it's great that you both love Disney so much.

Thank you :goodvibes I am so glad that Tim likes Disney so much, because outside of him and these boards I swear people think we are nuts sometimes :rotfl:

Looks like a fun 4th! I love your Flounder shirt, he is one of my favorite characters (along with the rest of the Little Mermaid cast:laughing:) Your cat is too funny in the box. We had a movie night the other night and our puppy did something similar. I'll be posting about it soon. Can't wait to hear about your next Theme Night!

I hope I can wear the shirt during the trip, it caught my eye since I haven't seen him on a shirt alone before :goodvibes

I don't know why they like the small areas like that so much, maybe it makes him feel safe :confused3

Picking out outfits to wear at WDW is always something fun for me to do pre-trip. So, I completely understand what you mean when you say you're taking photopass pictures into consideration. :rotfl:

And I don't think the theme nights are silly with just you and your DBF, at all! I think it's cute you two have fun doing them; it's something I'm sure I'll consider doing before my next trip.

Only some people know we do the theme nights, I have a hard enough time explaining how we met and the weird reactions I get to that :lmao:

Love the shirts....love the Vinylmation...it's so cute!

Thank you :goodvibes I couldn't wait and wore the Mickey shirt the other day!

I am going a little out of order with the theme night info...but I don't think that changes anything that happened :goodvibes

The other night Tim picked out episodes of...

twilight_zone1.jpg

He picked three episodes that have some tie in to the ride. He showed me after each episode where the item appears in the queue or during the actual ride. It was really cool to see that the ride holds true to numerous different episodes of the show, as well as the story that it is telling for the ride itself...yeah yeah yeah we are geeks that enjoy this stuff :lmao:

We haven't been very creative lately with our food choices/decorations for theme nights...we decided that some we will go all out for and others will be more just a basic movie night. For dinner we had Elevator button pizzas (we used to make these english muffin pizzas when I was little and I was craving them :goodvibes)

2011-06-29_18-35-01_14.jpg

We also had some delicious bellini to drink....its peach puree with sparkling wine

2011-06-29_19-26-08_531.jpg

Now that I think of it...that was quite an odd combo, but thats typical for us :goodvibes

We have also been throwing around the idea of visiting this place during our "rest day"

typhoon-lagoon.jpg

What do you think...stick to a pure rest day or go check out the waterpark for a few hours? Tim has never been to a Disney waterpark and I have not been to one since I was much younger

Shannon, I LOVE the Elevator button pizza -- very original! :thumbsup2

We have done both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach and we prefer Typhoon Lagoon (could have something to do with our age now and having to climb all the steps to get to the slides). We love the lazy river and the geyzer of water that comes out every 30 minutes! I definitely think you should take part of your "relaxation" day and head over and enjoy the lazy river -- you'll still be relaxing. :)

Thank you :goodvibes glad you liked that one!

I think the lazy river sounds like a wonderful way to relax on our relaxation day :thumbsup2 I am interested in that little shark reef area where you get to snorkle too...sounds different!

Seeing how The Twilight Zone ties in with Tower of Terror is a cool idea! I bet it was fun making the connections.
I've never been to a Disney waterpark before, but I think you two would still be able to relax there. Especially since you said you only wanted to do it for a few hours. I bet even going to TL, you'd still have plenty of time to relax afterwards.

Love those english muffin pizzas...they look very yummy and you're having my favorite drink...bellini's:lovestruc There is a restaurant that we go to here quite frequently and they serve a slushy form...so we go and have them on the patio on a summers evening with appetizers! I think you just gave me a great idea for dinner tonight:lmao:

Hi! I'm just joining in-- I love all of your different theme nights! We're just at 5.5 weeks before our trip and I'm trying to convince my DBF to do something similar!

Now you got me wanting some english muffin pizzas, my kids love them! Great movie night, how creative to watch old Twilight Zone shows! We did a TOT/Haunted Mansion night back in October and watched the Towere of Terror movie. The kids loved pointing out the characters when we rode the ride on our trip!

I love this theme night! Probably because I love the Tower of Terror so much, and I'm obsessed with the Twilight Zone! Those pizzas were so cute, I haven't had english muffin pizza in forever!

I liked Typhoon Lagoon the one year I went there, it's much better than Blizzard Beach, it might be a nice way to spend your morning!

I like your 2011 vinylmation. It would be cool to have a whole collection of vinylmation from each year.

The Twilight Zone night looks like a lot of fun. It would be interesting to see what parts come from the show, plus the theme song alone is pretty exciting.

I think Typhoon Lagoon is the perfect place to spend a rest day. You could see how many times you can float around the Lazy River. :rotfl:

Subbing! I'm in a little late but am loving your report :)

I'm a geek about that stuff too. I love seeing how the rides tie into the different movies/shows/themes they're based on. The little details and nods to things are what makes Disney so special. Looks like another fun theme evening! :thumbsup2

Love the theme nights! I like your english muffin pizzas, I thought it was creative. We make something similay using biscuits but english muffins sound good too and also like it may work better than our biscuits.. I'll have to try that sometime.

I am so inspired by your theme nights! Perhaps I can convince the DH to have one or two in the weeks leading up to our trip! :thumbsup2

And what a great idea with the little pizzas!

I thought it was a pretty creative idea and it was nice of Tim to do all the work (thanks sweetie - in case you still read these :rotfl:)

I am leaning towards TL on the rest day, it would be fun to take Tim to his first Disney waterpark :goodvibes

O-M-G I want a bellini slushi!!! That sounds sooo yummy :cutie:

Hi! I'm just joining in-- I love all of your different theme nights! We're just at 5.5 weeks before our trip and I'm trying to convince my DBF to do something similar!

:welcome: Thank you so much!! How exciting, you are so close to your trip!!

We did a TOT/Haunted Mansion night back in October and watched the Towere of Terror movie. The kids loved pointing out the characters when we rode the ride on our trip!

They reminded me of being a kid again and my mom making me them when I was being a picky eater some nights :rotfl:

We really wanted to watch the TOT movie, but Netflix sent us the wrong one :headache:

I love this theme night! Probably because I love the Tower of Terror so much, and I'm obsessed with the Twilight Zone! Those pizzas were so cute, I haven't had english muffin pizza in forever!

I liked Typhoon Lagoon the one year I went there, it's much better than Blizzard Beach, it might be a nice way to spend your morning!

I LOVE the music at the beginning of each episode...reminds me of being in the library area waiting to move to the next part of the queue on the ride!! :goodvibes

I think it would be a good idea to go to TL since we would still relax...but also not get antsy from just sitting around (we don't do that well at Disney :rotfl:)

I like your 2011 vinylmation. It would be cool to have a whole collection of vinylmation from each year.

The little icons on this 2011 one are cool since they represent different parts of the parks :goodvibes

Just the words "Lazy River" sell it to me!

Subbing! I'm in a little late but am loving your report :)

:welcome: Never too late! Thanks for joining!

I'm a geek about that stuff too. I love seeing how the rides tie into the different movies/shows/themes they're based on. The little details and nods to things are what makes Disney so special. Looks like another fun theme evening! :thumbsup2

I can't believe how much research and detail they put into each ride and attraction...it amazes me!! I have a hard time going to the local theme parks close to our home, because they don't even come close to Disney!

Love the theme nights! I like your english muffin pizzas, I thought it was creative. We make something similay using biscuits but english muffins sound good too and also like it may work better than our biscuits.. I'll have to try that sometime.

I never thought about biscuits...I might try your way sometime to see if it tastes different!! They are such a nice, easy idea for dinner after a long day at work!

I am so inspired by your theme nights! Perhaps I can convince the DH to have one or two in the weeks leading up to our trip! :thumbsup2

And what a great idea with the little pizzas!

Thank you :goodvibes They are nothing compared to the amazing ones I have seen others do and tried to copy :rotfl:

So we had a low key theme night watching Roger Rabbit the other night. I am using the term theme night pretty loosely here :rotfl: We had Toon Tortilla chips and “The Dip” (makes sense if you have seen the movie :goodvibes) I love this one so much more each time I watch it and well our dip wasn't very tasty. They all can’t be winners though!

We also had a theme night of The Incredibles! I think Tim and I really enjoyed this one…I was actually on the edge of my seat (neither of us had seen it before). I was surprised how violent it was compared to other Disney movies I have seen…I even asked Tim if they had used a gun in a Disney animated movie before, it caught me off guard. It was a really great movie though!

SAM_0340.jpg

We had super hero sub sandwiches (from Firehouse Subs) and I decorated in Incredibles colors. I even put yellow and red mike n Ikes in bowls and made a hidden Mickey

SAM_0337.jpg

For Tim’s pick of movies last week we watched

Tarzan20Special20Edition.jpg

Tarzan!! I really wish we had taken the time to fit our dinner around the movie and decorated…because I really ended up enjoying the movie and I LOVE Phil Collins so the music was perfect of course!!

We found this wine at our local World Market store

SAM_0328-1.jpg

I have read about many DISers enjoying this wine at Epcot in Italy I believe it is. It was yummy, but nothing I had to have again anytime soon, but still very yummy!

Also random hodge podge moment….Did I already tell you guys that we got to meet Mr. Belding from Saved by the Bell a month or so ago…had to share this cause I was so excited (sorry for some reason they are huge even though I shrunk them down in size on photobucket...hopefully it corrects itself)

According to Walt Disney World website..86 days to go!!! We paid our trip off (ok I was slacking on my part) today which means everything is a done deal with that :goodvibes

I enjoyed that wine in Italy at Epcot in 2004....I loved it!! I have never found it at a wine store here:confused3 Great movie nights....I think I have to borrow some movies from my sis...all of ours were VHS and when our VHS machine died, I gave all the movies to a charity.

Congrats on paying off the trip! :cool1:

You know, I actually never watched Tarzan...is it a movie we should add to the list?

And I love the Incredibles theme night idea!:thumbsup2

LOL! I heart Saved by the bell. And love the movie nights too!

There was just a tiny bottle of it like the one we got...Its a store with all different items including foods and drinks from around the world...very cool :goodvibes

All of mine are VHS too...Tims family has been slowly collecting the DVDs and sometimes we rent them on Netflix instead :thumbsup2

Congrats on paying off the trip! :cool1:

Thanks :goodvibes:goodvibes one less thing to worry about which makes it great

I thought it was good and I loved the music...not on the top of my favorite disney movie list, but no where near the bottom of the list. It is one of Tims favorites I think!

LOL! I heart Saved by the bell. And love the movie nights too!

I know me too...we brought my parents with us to meet him and he was super nice...my remembers the show from me making her watch it with me :rotfl:
