Do they serve wine on the Magical Express? October 2011 --- We're back! TR started!

Love The Jungle Book...it was one of Jasmine's favorites...she always wanted to just wear her panties like Mogley (she'll kill me for this) but she was only 3;)

I love trying new foods and those I would definitely try!! I can't wait to hear how you do trading your Vinylmations...I have a feeling my nieces might get into that over pin trading this trip!

That is too funny :rotfl: Good thing she isn't reading this report!!

I am so excited to trade them!!

:scared1::scared1::scared1: WHAT??? How have you never seen the Jungle Book?!?!?!

I'm just kidding... there are still several Disney classics on my list that I need to see. I just remember when I was little this one was probably in my top 5 favorites and I'm pretty sure the VHS in the cabinet at my parents' house is probably worn out. I'm glad you finally got to see it and enjoyed it. :thumbsup2

I've never gotten into the idea of the pin trading or the vinylmations, but I'm starting to become a little bit intrigued by the vinylmations. I'm kind of thinking I might have to invest in a few of them at some point.

I knew most of the characters and the songs, but thats probably just from visiting WDW so many times :rotfl:

I have this weird love of surprises, so when you purchase one from a collection you aren't sure which one you are going to get until you open the box...good thing Tim enjoys actually collecting them :rotfl: otherwise I would have an expensive habit

I bet you are going to have a lot of fun trading Vinlymations! :thumbsup2 I agree that Big Baby is scary and Phil is creepy. :rotfl: I bet your Rex Vinylmation is awesome; he's my favorite Toy Story character!

I'm not a big jerky fan, but those three looked interesting. It's very cool that you guys like to try new things and give them a chance. And the snack choice seemed very fitting for the Jungle Book.

I will have to take a picture of Rex and share it...he is so adorable in Vinylmation form :goodvibes

We had movie night last night - Lady & the Tramp; the jerky sounds interesting. Where did you find that?

We pin trade; I'm not really into the look of the vinylmation and I have no idea where I would put them if I did collect them. The villain series looks neat, however.

Oh my gosh I was just AMAZED by your movie night, it was amazing! Tim and his mom found the Jerky at some general store, out in the country somewhere I believe :goodvibes

Our Ursula one is really cool, shes my favorite!!

Definitely interesting jerky choices. Although I'm really not much of a jerky eater, so I guess any choice would be interesting to me!

Don't feel bad about not seeing The Jungle Book. I think I've only seen parts of it, but never the whole thing through.

(I also think I need to make sure I see more classic Disney films!)

They were interesting...like I said some were good and some not at all, but it was fun to try :goodvibes Jungle Book was lots of fun to watch!

I don't think I've seen the Jungle Book...actually, I think I might have once, a long time ago, but I don't remember it! I know all the songs, though!

That jerky looks...interesting!

Ugh, I can't stand that Big Baby Vinylmation! Who would ever want that one??? :rotfl2:

Isn't it funny how you may have never seen a Disney movie, but you know the characters and music...I am the same way

I won't even allow Tim to put that Vinylmation out for people to see it creeps me out!!

I have not seen Jungle Book, either. I know some of the music, though and it's pretty catchy!

Big Baby is creepy anyway, and even more so in Vinylmation. Scary!

I sort of felt bad for making Tim take Big Baby...but it really is creepy looking!!

Yay for another movie night. I hadn't seen the Jungle Book in forever until DS asked me to use it for a movie night. The jerky sounds interesting :rotfl: I'm not very adventurous when it comes to eating different things but I know my Dh would be all over that!

We ended up forgetting DS's Vinylmations, he has a couple he wanted to trade but oh well. Our Disney Store in the mall by us is going out of business and I got excited thinking I could stock up on some Vinylmations for gifts for DS but the CM told me they weren't selling those off, they were getting shipped to another Disney Store :(

We are really adventurous eating wise, so we are always trying new things (at least once)

I was so sad when they closed the Disney stores by us, I miss going in there and feeling a little magic :sad2:

I am almost a vegetarian (just don't like much meat, simple as that lol) so that jerky turns my stomach just looking at it lol

The Jungle Book is a fantastic Disney classic, I am glad that you got a chance to watch it!

I LOVED the music in the Jungle Book...its nice to watch a classic :goodvibes

I have to know where you got the jerky from! My fiance will hunt anything, and while its a bit too adventurous for my taste, he would get a kick out of it.

I will have to ask Tim again, but I think it was a small general store type of place out in the country of VA somewhere...my parents hunt too so I am used to random things like deer jerky as it is (sorry bambi)

That is too funny...we watched Jungle Book last weekend too (although we didn't make it a "dinner" movie). It is a classic and we'd not seen it in a few years and am glad we watched it. This weekend we are watching Sleeping Beauty if Mark gets rained out with baseball.

I have actually never seen Sleeping Beauty all together, just parts of it....that is one that I must watch soon!!

Jungle Book is a good movie. I used to watch it a lot when I was a kid.

I'm not at all sold on the jerky, though. It was very brave of you all to eat it.

I think I've had each of your Vinylmation at some point. Mission Space guy is cool.

I will try most anything once...nothing too crazy though :rotfl:
On our first date at dinner we had spicy alligator as our appetizer...so I guess it was meant to be :goodvibes

Mission Space is cool looking, but he reminds me of how sick I feel on that ride :lmao: I have been wanting to trade Vinylmations since I read your last report before the one you are doing currently :thumbsup2

Love your PTR so far...And I love the story about how you and Tim met :goodvibes

Can't wait to read more....

Thank you for following along, glad to have you :goodvibes

Hey everyone!!! SO I am home with pink eye today right before I am supposed to visit with family this weekend :headache: I thought only little kids got this, but I do work with the public during some of my investigations including kids, anyway it gives me time to do an update :thumbsup2

So first things first and my most exciting part of my update Tim purchased our MNSSHP tickets for October 16th  I am so excited to go to the party for the first time! We have been talking about what our priorities are for the party so I will share that

We want to see the parade and fireworks
We want to hopefully meet at least one villain for a picture
I want to ride BTMRR in the dark :goodvibes

Also, since I shared the vinylmations we are trading, I want to share our (or maybe my) two favorites with you Ursula and Rex

2011-06-23_14-10-53_85.jpg

Also we had a great theme night the other night with Monsters, Inc. That is one of my favorite Pixar movies, it always makes me cry at the end...sorry don't want to give anything away

I made dinner and surprised Tim with everything....he saw this sign on our condo door when he came home from work

And then the cupcakes and menu I made...for some reason we forgot to take a picture of the actual food. I tried to make the table cloth and plates match the colors of mike and sulley

We had Spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread (which I named after the different characters) and watched the movie. I think we both really enjoyed it and I even looked up secrets in the movie (like a nod to Finding Nemo and other Disney movies) so we watched for those :goodvibes

I love those Monsters cupcakes! That looks like a fun theme night.

I think Rex looks really cool in Vinylmation form, but I have to admit, Ursula looks kind of scary. :scared1:

Congratulations on your party tickets!! Your list of priorities sound very good to me. :thumbsup2

Ugh, I got pink eye a couple of years ago, so adults can definitely get it! :rotfl: It took forever to go away, too, I had to keep going back to the dr. to get more drops!

Yay for MNSSHP tix! I didn't buy mine yet, but I probably will pretty soon! :thumbsup2

Cute theme night! I have yet to see Monster's Inc. I don't know why I never watch it, I'm sure I will someday, it looks adorable! Those cupcakes look yummy! :)

I love it....what a great night! Monsters Inc is one of our favorite movies! I really have to come up with something to do for Jasmine and Jeff for our upcoming trip:confused3

Awesome theme night! Monsters Inc. is one of my favorite Pixar movies. Congrats on the MNSSHP tickets. That's something I really hope I can go to sometime.

I hope you get better soon!

Looks like another fun theme night! Your cupcakes look awesome! You have me hooked on vinylmations now. Before I always just bought ones that I liked that you could see through the box, none of that surprise stuff for me. Then after reading your posts about how much fun it is opening the surprise box and then trading at the parks I figured I'd try it. I bought my first two yesterday, I got Shan-Yu (Villan from Mulan) and Big Baby (toy story). I don't really care for them so I set them aside to trade. I really like your Ursula one, I'm hoping to get that one too!

Thank you, they were fun to make :goodvibes

I cannot wait to trade the other vinylmations and see what we get! The party looks like so much fun, I can't wait to check it out!!

I think mine has pretty much gone away, fingers crossed, don't want to jinx myself :rotfl:

I just realized this weekend how forgetful I really am so I am glad that DBF decided to do will call...no worries about forgetting the tickets :thumbsup2

Its such a cute movie, I really like that one :goodvibes

Thank you :goodvibes I always cry when I watch it, I can't help it!! I am sure the shopping trip was a fun way to get ready for your trip!!

I hope you get better soon!

I am feeling much better, thanks! I got a day off of work which is always nice :goodvibes

I have been to a MVMCP once when I was younger but I dont remember it, so this will be my first party that I have been to at MK!

Thank you!! I love the surprise part of vinylmation collecting, but sometimes when I get ones I am not fond of, it makes me wonder why I do it :rotfl: Sorry you didn't get good ones as your first couple surprise ones, hopefully you can trade for something better :thumbsup2 I swear that they made a million Big Baby ones and just a couple of the other characters :lmao:

The one reason I had to post today is that I went online to check our reservation and guess what the countdown said on the website...99 days!!!:cool1::banana: I can't believe how time is flying!! I am so ready for the trip!

I have a few theme nights and other things I need to do updates on, I have fallen way behind :headache: I have been too busy reading everyone else's reports :rotfl: We have been having a great summer so far, even Allister has joined us for a few rounds of Disney Scene It

2011-06-04_22-19-55_67.jpg

Over the 4th of July weekend, we spent Saturday with Tim’s parents. During the morning/afternoon we went shopping including Best Buy and Old Navy. Tim’s mom got us the Kinect for XBOX so we could get some exercise in – Tim got a UFC trainer game and I got a dancing game…so much fun!! Tim’s mom also helped me pick out some cute outfits and Tim ended up getting a few pairs of shorts at Old Navy…pretty successful shopping trip if you ask me! We spent the afternoon swimming in their pool in the backyard and that evening we had kabobs on the grill and lots of side dishes! Tim’s mom and I attempted to grill fruit to use with ice cream sundaes…and we did a good job! Though at one point I think Tim was pretty sure we were going to light ourselves or something else on fire by accident :rotfl:

During our shopping trip we were on the lookout for Disney related items and shirts to wear during our trip. We didn’t end up finding anything, but Tim’s mom had a surprise. She had purchased us these shirts for Christmas…but gave them to us early for our trip…I was so excited!

Mine has Mickey down the front left side with all different expressions, too cute!

2011-07-09_20-46-58_409.jpg

Tim’s is Mickey and Orlando Magic…perfect combo for him!

2011-07-09_20-46-37_175.jpg

She also bought us a vinylmation for Christmas to add to our collection…he is a 2011 one and had little icons from all over the parks on him…its awesome! I think I may try to collect one with the year on it from now on :goodvibes

2011-07-09_20-48-42_773.jpg

I found a shirt myself at Walmart a while ago, I couldn't resist how cute it is..it doesn't quite fit, but hopefully when I get back into running it will :goodvibes

2011-07-09_20-47-15_764.jpg

Sounds like you had a great fourth! Ours was very low key because my DH had to work in the morning but we still got to see some fireworks, unfortunately I have been spoiled by Disney and our local fireworks just don't do it for me anymore;)

Can't wait to hear about your theme nights, my kids have been bugging for one so I'm trying to come up with one for this week.

Love the shirts, I saw that Flounder tee at Walmart also but in sizes small and med, definately not gonna fit me :rotfl:

Shannon, sounds as if you guys had a great 4th of July. How nice of Tim's mom! Love the shirts (particularly the Flounder...I wish I had seen that when I went to Wal-mart).

VERY late to the party, but wanted to say hi! (in my defense. I scanned it a while back, but didn't sub. At the time, didn't know much about PTRs, or TRs, etc.

And your cat looks JUST like one of mine, Ping Pong. Will find a picture...

Aww your kitty is so cute, cats always like to sit in boxes, they're so weird! :rotfl: Love the new Disney shirts! :thumbsup2 Every time I go to Wal Mart I see that Flounder shirt and wonder if I should get it, but I got the Lady and the Tramp shirt, and I'm not sure I'll be able to fit into that by my trip! Wal Mart sizing is weird! :confused3

:woohoo: for double digits! I'm so ready for our trip too!

Congrats on that countdown getting smaller!!! That's awesome!

And I love your Disney Tees! The striped one with the Mickeys is really cute!

Sounds like you guys had a great 4th and a productive shopping day! Your Mickey Mosue shirt is adorable! :thumbsup2
I laughed at your cat in the Scen It box; reminded me of something my kitty would do.

Going back to your earlier post...your Monsters Inc cupcakes were amazing!!:worship: I loved how you got the frosting to resemble Sully. If I ever have a movie night with Monsters Inc, I'm going to have to try that. :rotfl:

We didn't bother to go out for fireworks, because the weather was a little crazy over the last couple weeks never quite sure when it was going to break into a bad thunderstorm. I am however itching to see some and can't wait to get to WDW!!

I am praying that shirt will fit by vacation time, but the way I am going probably not :rotfl:

Shannon, sounds as if you guys had a great 4th of July. How nice of Tim's mom! Love the shirts (particularly the Flounder...I wish I had seen that when I went to Wal-mart).

Thanks :goodvibes She is too sweet! I am always on the lookout at Walmart and Target (the guys section) for disney shirts!

Tim bought a new pair of shoes and the cat was delighted that there was a new box for him to squish into, but when my mom makes him a cat bed he won't go near it :confused3

After reading about your weightloss recently, I realized its now or never if I want to feel/look better for the trip!! I am running a 5k tonight, hopefully I will finish and maybe not last, fingers crossed :rotfl:

Congrats on that countdown getting smaller!!! That's awesome!

And I love your Disney Tees! The striped one with the Mickeys is really cute!

I can't wait to go...but I also feel like I am trying to rush summer along :lmao:

We couldnt wait and wore our Mickey shirts out the other day :goodvibes

We did!! I can't wait to pick out outfits to wear on vacation :goodvibes I think we are ordering photopass cd ahead of time, so I want to look ok in those pictures at least :rotfl:

Thanks :flower3: I found the idea on a thread of all disney theme night ideas on the boards...sometimes it seems a little silly to do for just DBF and I, but its a lot of fun :goodvibes

Great PTR - can't wait to read how the trip goes!

And I love the theme nights! This is such a cute idea, it's great that you both love Disney so much.

Looks like a fun 4th! I love your Flounder shirt, he is one of my favorite characters (along with the rest of the Little Mermaid cast:laughing:) Your cat is too funny in the box. We had a movie night the other night and our puppy did something similar. I'll be posting about it soon. Can't wait to hear about your next Theme Night!

Picking out outfits to wear at WDW is always something fun for me to do pre-trip. So, I completely understand what you mean when you say you're taking photopass pictures into consideration. :rotfl:

And I don't think the theme nights are silly with just you and your DBF, at all! I think it's cute you two have fun doing them; it's something I'm sure I'll consider doing before my next trip.
