Our first day that we arrive will be Nov. 11. As most, Magic Kingdom is our first choice of park to hit on arrival day. It is also MVMCP as well.
While we are not intending to stay for the party, my question is how do they get those who do not have party tickets out?
I know you would not be able to ride the rides, but how do they kick you out.
And before anyone says it, I have no intention of cheating and staying when I have not paid. (we did MVMCP last year)
I just wonder how they get people out.

It's my understanding that party guests are given wrist bands. Those without the wrist bands are shuffled to the door and CM walk around looking for the bands.

They check for wrist bands. And they do so multiple times. If you don't have one you are given the option of buying tickets to the party, or of being escorted out. And they do walk people right out, I've seen it happen.

Without a wrist band you can't ride any ride, or shop, or even use the restroom. We had some people try to blend in while waiting for the parade to start, and they were walked out of the park.

i have gone to mk a couple of times when it is a party night without having tickets for mnsshp and it is pretty obvious that you need to leave at 7pm. if you do not have a wristband you cannot do anything (shop, eat, ride) and i guess by reading above even go to the bathroom! as you are walking down main street all of the cast members have "goodbye" or "thank you" or "good night" type signs that they hold up on a stick.

i think they actually do a good job of getting you out without having to actually escort the general crowd out. you are really just funneled back to main street. but i am sure there are those that NEED a personal escort to get out.

for me, i like to see everyone in their costumes and the special decorations, but i don't ever plan on going to the party, so i feel like i get something extra on those days even if the park closes early. this year we are going to go to fort wilderness on our early mk day so we can do a wagon ride and try the food at another resort.

I usually don't pay attention to the dates, I go to the park until I have my fill and then leave.
A few years ago I was at MK alone and about 6:45 I decided to grab something to eat at Cosmic Ray's. I grabbed a seat outside overlooking the area where they had the princess story time, I could barely see the castle.
I was just about finished when a CM came up to me and asked to see my bracelet. I had my Disney Pandora bracelet on and was not really thinking so I showed her that... I know, I felt dumb after...
She said "No, your bracelet for the party" and I told her I wasn't going to the party and didn't realize it was tonight and I would leave the park as soon as I finished eathing.
She told me she would escort me out and would wait till I finished. I wrapped up my half sandwich and grabbed my drink and walked out with her, feeling like a criminal.
She walked me as far as Casey's corner and then went to find the next criminal while I went into the ice cream shop and got myself a sundae. I probably would go to the party if I had my grandson with me but I was alone and don't really think the price is worth what they do since I have been to the parks multiple times and short lines on rides are not worth that amount.

So, you purchased a general admission ticket, decided that you wanted to stay beyond the closing time of the park, and that you were entitled to take advantage of the time int he park reserved for those who paid extra for a special event?

And then you felt like you were being treated unfairly when corrected?

Wow......talk about reading things that aren't there. Cray

Not really sure what's crazy about it. People pay a lot of money to have time in the parks for these special events. If you're told that you aren't allowed to linger past normal closing hours, I don't really see why someone feels the should be an exception. It doesn't really seem fair to others.

Where did they say they felt there would be an exception? The point and tone of that post went completely over your head. She didn't realize there was a party that night. When they told her she had to leave, she was fine with it. The comment was on the way it was done.

So calm down, Judgy.

Does that not say that the poster continued to stay in the park after she was escorted to Casey's Corner?

And I'm extremely calm, thanks. :thumbsup2

If you do not have a Party ticket at 7:00 the Magic Kingdom is officially closed to you and you must leave the Park.

1. Without a wristband you cannot enter the line for any show or ride and you cannot enter any food service location or any store. You will not be allowed to make any purchases from any kiosk or wagon. You might be allowed to use the restrooms.

2. If you are already in a merchandise shop at 7:00 you will be permitted to make a purchase, but you will not be able to purchase any party-themed merchandise. If you are in a quick service location you will be allowed to make a purchase.

3. If you are at a Table Service location without an ADR you will not be seated, or if your ADR is for 7:00 or later you will not be seated. Note that even if you had a CC guarantee you will not be seated and you will forfeit the guarantee as you do not, at that time, have valid park admission.

4. There will be CM "blockades" at various points within the park looking for wristbands. For the first half hour or so you will not be permitted deeper into the Park and you will be asked to leave. If it is past 7:30 and you are caught in a blockade or sweep you will, at that time, be escorted to the front of the Park and out the Gate.

5. If you are line up for a parade and do not have a wristband you will be escorted out of the park.

6. And if you do not cooperate with the CMs Security will be called.

Yes, the last time I was waiting for the Christmas parade, cms went through the crowd asking everyone to show their wristbands. Those that didn't have them had to leave.

When we were in MK for MNSSHP last year the CMs walked hand in hand across the roads. If you had a wristband the broke ranks to go around you. If you didn't, you were herded along in front of the line to the park entrance. No shopping, no eating, no stopping to go to the bathroom.

When we were at a party last year, everytime you did anything you were asked to show your wristband; when getting in line for a character, when getting in line for a ride, when getting anything at the CS locations, when even just walking around in the lands, etc. I saw two groups personally escorted out when they did not have bands. I know that about 7PM there were CMs standing at the front of each lands checking wristbands and telling those that didn't have them that the park was closed and they either needed to leave or buy a party ticket. No one was made to feel like a criminal, but as a paying party guest, I was very happy they were so diligent.

We were there in 2011 and our dinner ran past 7 (We had a late ADR- probably like 6:30.) And when we finished the parade was just happening. We were asked to stand at the door of LTT and wait for another two families to finish up and then all 3 families were escorted back to main street (Casey's Corner) and asked to leave. We did, of course, but we saw several other families being escorted out. It was actually pretty efficient.
When we were at DL last year, we were at the party and we probably had our wristbands checked 50 times. They make sure those who don't pay don't play!

I guess this will be us this year. We have reservations for BOG at 630 on a party tonight. I fully expect to leave immediately after we eat (we're going to 2 other parties anyway that trip).

I don't really consider it being 'kicked out'...we'll have enjoyed the park for the time that we paid for. If I remember correctly MK has signs outside stating the closing time for non-party guests, so I'm not really sure how anyone can get mad for being asked to leave at 7...you knew ahead of time when it closed :confused3

I totally agree with your post apparently others missed her attitude & behavior Too bad Caseys even served her & FWIW you sounded perfectly calm to me :) I pay $62 + for extra hard ticket event I want non-payers out too

We decided to watch the parade from the train station at last year's Christmas party. TWICE in the 15 minutes leading up to the parade, CM's came up to do a wristband check. The 2 girls seated in front of us ran off the moment the first CM came up and announced their check. :lmao: And we got great seats. :) Since there were 3 of us there that night and we had spent $195 to be there, I was quite happy they were taking it seriously and hunting down the freeloaders.

Hahaha, thanks. I didn't think I was being out of line! :lmao:

How else is Disney suppose to get non paying people out of the park during a hard ticket party event unless they escort people out? You yourself proved that people won't leave if just asked since after you were escorted to Casey's Corner you decided you still weren't leaving and ordered a sundae.

I am not trying to judge you but, as others have stated guests pay a good chunk to attend these exclusive parties and Disney has to control the situation otherwise you would have a park filled with half paying guests and the other half thinking they can linger around and never leave.. it would be chaos.

You seemed annoyed that you were asked to leave.. you wrote that you felt like a "criminal". I think Disney did what they had to do to control crowds and make sure those who pay for the party have the best possible experience.

I guess I don't get your attitude about it... you didn't pay.. you said yourself you didn't feel the party was worth it, yet you felt like you were entitled to stay as long as you felt after the park closed to the general public?? And before anyone jumps on me, even if the poster didn't realize it was a party night she knew once the CM approached her about it. She admitted to being escorted out but, not leaving and ordering more food.. so yes I would say the poster felt "entitled" to stick around for as long as she felt without being a party guest.
