For my intended purpose - yes! These resort studios appeal to me. Our new VGF points will be used for 4-5 night girls trips. The bulk of our other points will be me and DH in one bedrooms as we have enjoyed for the passed 20+ years of ownership.

DH keeps saying, "What's the difference between these new DVC studios and a plain old hotel room?" We joined DVC for the home-away-from-home feeling. As Samantha Brown used to say (anyone remember her shows on DVC resorts?) "You got your own little homestead!"

1 bed minimum or die! Cannot vacation without the washer/dryer.

The new deluxe studios look lovely. However, as a parent of a DS20 and a DS almost 18, we need three sleep surfaces, two showers, and a microwave. The old studios accommodate this. I wish the new studios still had the microwave and the split bathroom situation with the two showers. As wonderful as the new studio looks, I think I'll be looking to book one of the old studios for the extra shower and kitchenette area.
