Do the Shows play on the TV?

So. I saw a note that "you can skip crowds" and watch the shows on the TV, specifically asking about Villians and Golden Mickeys.

I am super concerned about how my toddler will hold up in the shows, especially considering it is right during his normal nap time as we have the second seating for dinner, and I would love to be able to watch these from the TV in the room if I can.

The shows play on the TV so you can watch from your stateroom. It's not a live broadcast though.

They are also ONLY on the day they are in the theatre - learned that one the hard way (well, not the hard way...I was going to watch Believe while packing, but it had been the previous evening and was no longer on the on-demand).

And not only are they pre-recorded, there is a good chance it is not even the same cast that is on your sailing.

So its kinda like an on demand thing? Where I can just chose it and start it from the begining?

Thats cool. and I dont think I will care much about the cast.

I think it's set times, but I don't remember. I only looked for it that one time. I love going to the theatre - I have never found it to be a madhouse. (Of course, being a theatre geek, I also know that the "oh-so-in-demand" seats in the front are NOT the best seats, so that may be why...most people think front = best.)

They start roughly the same time the actual live production starts. It is on twice (just like in the theaters).
It is NOT like onDemand where you can start and stop as you please unfortunately.

The rooms have a tvguide that will tell you what channel it is on.

Since I've been on 8 cruises, I've stopped going to the Shows, and put on the tv version while relaxing in the room/getting changed from dinner.
It certainly doesn't particularly matter that it's a different cast, because it really is just as good. :)

They play the day of the show like Dug said, but they are prerecorded and probably from a different cruise entirely. We watched the first showing of Tangled because we had 2nd seating dinner, flipped on the TV when we got back to the room at the end of the night and Tangled was playing at like 10pm or something on the TV but with completely different actors..

All of this! I took theatre in university and I am just thinking of how much my toddler is going to scream and run and not sit while everyone tries to enjoy the show. Id rather suffer in my stateroom lol.
and yes always aim for the middle!

I am hopeful that my 2 year old Granddaughter will sit through at least Disney Dreams and Tangled onboard the Magic. She has seen Tangled the movie several times and everyday we play the song clips from the movie on YouTube. She loves them. We have also been playing song/video clips of all the songs they sing in Disney Dreams. I would rather have her awake for the shows than for dinner (we have late seating).
