Just checking to see if we can buy the curent MagicBand+ online and use it for a December Disneyland trip?
Make sure you buy the MagicBand+ version. They are also selling the MagicBand 2 version online, which will not work at DLR.Just checking to see if we can buy the curent MagicBand+ online and use it for a December Disneyland trip?
Disneyland website says the Magic Band+ will be working 10/26/2022. https://disneyland.disney.go.com/guest-services/magicband-plus/
I understand they have 5 specific Disneyland designs for Magic Plus bands. If anyone has photos of what those are I would greatly appreciate i! (does not look like they are available online -we are DVC so was hoping we could get them online but do not see them either). We have a Dec visit as well and wanted to see if we should wait to get there to buy them if we really like the DL versions.

I have to ask a silly question - does the MagicBand+ show the "time" like a $5 watch would? Maybe it's obvious that I'm skeptical about adding more stuff to wear at the park unless it can take the place of checking my watch/cell every 5 minutes to see if I'm closer to another Genie deadline lol. But seriously, does it?
Good to know. I've been on the verge of hitting the "buy" button on a cute Band+ a couple of times, but after just leaving DL/DCA after a two day trip, I'm reminded I already spend too much magic atmosphere time on the phone - without a simple time function, this will not save enough phone time to justify wearing it (and with the "bounties function" it seems to Add screen time instead of reducing it). Sad, 'cause I am always looking for ways to improve the park experience. My idea of + would have been a clock and steps option.Nope. It's the one thing I wish they'd have done. I wear it with my garmin (has the time but is just a tracker) and leave my watch at home.
Not to tell people how to spend their money, because money means different things to different people, but unless you have an AP or take frequent trips I would think twice before buying a magic band for a specific trip.
A minimum entry point of 35 bucks is a little steep for something that will basically only be used to enter parks and scan into genie+.
We bought bands in Friday because we go like twice a month and phones are annoying, but I wished that we could have used regular magic bands because all of the features that +bands have really don’t justify it’s existence.
What exactly do they do, and what can't they do that the ones at WDW are used for? We're not going until May but I was already thinking I'd need to buy some ahead of time. If I don't need them I'll save $140Not to tell people how to spend their money, because money means different things to different people, but unless you have an AP or take frequent trips I would think twice before buying a magic band for a specific trip.

I'm wondering the same thing. Our visit is Christmas week, and these would be a fun way to surprise the kids.I understand they have 5 specific Disneyland designs for Magic Plus bands.
