Do the Deluxe have thinner walls?

Has anyone noticed that the Deluxe walls seem to be thinner than even the All Stars?

Maybe it has just been our luck, but we have stayed at the Poly and the YC and have had neighbors that we could hear a lot more than we wanted to hear them. We were just at the YC recently and couldn't believe how much noise we could hear from next door and I'm sure that they were not unusually noisy. We have also stayed at the ASMu twice and never noticed noise from next door (maybe we were justy lucky). We could hear noise from outside sometimes but not next door.

Just curious.

We have never heard neighbors at the All Stars. I wonder if it is because they are newer and the construction materials are more noise resistant.

I have never heard noise from adjacent rooms at the older Deluxes but at the BC/YC I did. Maybe it is the construction materials. I have heard lots of shower and turbo toilets at the moderates.

I will no longer stay at the All Stars partially because of the incredible amount of noise from neighbors, people walking outside your door, and the turbo toilets which seem to go all night.

The BWI is by far the quietest of all the resorts I've stayed at.

Other than the very loud cell phone user describing someones very personal medical problems one day on the balconey at AKL, I never heard anything there.

I have heard some, but not too much noise at the BWV, mostly kids yelling in the halls during the day.

BC does seem to be a tad noisier for some reason.

At the GF we had extremely rude and noisy neighbors. They were part of a group of about 12 people, and everyone would always congregate in their room. One afternoon it was very loud, they were all in the room, plus had the TV goign full blast!

As a general rule we find the deluxes much quieter, especially the toilets. I've never heard my neighbors toilet flush at a deluxe.

Hmmmm not sure. Haven't stayed at any of the All Stars but I have stayed at the YC, BC and Contemporary and have never had problems with noise?! Sorry that you experience that!

We have always heard a lot of noise at the Beach Club and it has been incredibly quiet at the CBR and Dixie.

hope its queit at the CSR and AKL.......;)

We have stayed at all of the mod (dixi a few times) and YC and Poly. 2 nights in a row we had distrubing nights at YC. Both involved drunk and rude guests. One in the room next to ours (it seems the rooms that ajorn with doors are really bad for noise.) This english drunk guy was up at 2:00 just talking really loud with his friends. At the time I was 8 month pregnant and not about to "put up with anybody" and banged on the door a number of times telling them to be quiet. I don't think they even heard me they were so drunk. I called front desk (2 times) I heard them knocking on the door 2 times to try to get them to be quiet, but that didn't work. I was really mad, all I wanted was sleep and was paying alot for my hotel room. I now don't mind nosiey excited kids as much as rude drunk adults. The other noises were people in the hall wandering in from the bar at 2:00. I think having a bar in the hotel building added to the noise.

At poly our neiboors alarm clock was going off for almost 2 hours the night we got there. We called guest services a few times and finally somone came and shut it off. It was from 7:00 (when we came home, could of been longer )at night until around 9:00. It really wouldn't of bothered us too much expect we had been up since 3:00 that morning to fly in and our baby needed sleep wasn't going down. The rest of the trip wasn't bad. (besides I think we got them back, the baby who used to sleep through the night, stopped during the trip.)

Does seem strange never had a problem at the mod resorts.
