Do suites discount?

sorry if this has been asked--I did a search and gave up.
Do they ever discount suites at WDW resorts or are they just used for upgrades when available? I would imagine with all of the personalities they have the suites are probably well booked.

I don't think they discount suites except for maybe the junior suites at Contemporary. I don't think they upgrade many people to suites considering that some are $1,000+/night.

You're probably right. I was just looking through the YC/BC thread at the maps of the suites. It would be so totally cool to spend about 3 weeks in the Admiral's suite at YC! When I win my 60 mil. lotto that's what I'm going to do.

When I win 60 mil I will do the Kuba suite at AKL.

I've been in both of those suites and I have pictures of them on my web site. I stayed in the Royal Kuba suite for 4 days and it was wonderful. I haven't stayed in the Admiral, just visited friends who were staying there, but I did stay in the YC Presidential for a week. It has the same layout as the Admiral, just different decor. It's right below the Admiral.

Suite Disney!!! There you are! I saw one of your posts with suite pictures a couple of weeks ago then couldn't remember where to find it again. Glad you posted so I can click on your link. How do you do it? I mean stay in all of these suites?

I was only able to stay in some suites and view others because of the generosity of friends.

Those are some mighty generous friends. My husband and I like to tour the resorts but were only lucky once to visit a suite. It was on the lower of BC (don't know the name). Thanks again!

On rare occassions some suites such as at WL or Cont have had discounts before; also Dolphin (not owned by Disney). However, for the most part Disney does not have any trouble renting suites which are often booked full many months in advance and thus has no need to discount those.

Actually, the only "suite" inventory that gets discounted at these resorts are WL Junior & Honeymoon Suites, and the Contemporary's Wing Junior Suite. Though they could be considered as suites, they aren't exactly in the same ball park as the "other" suites at the same resorts.
