Do people write crued things on your white board?

Our last cruise was a 7-day on the Magic and this was the first time I used an FE and put magnets on our doors. We had a lot of fun but I did personalize most of the magnets so nothing was actually taken. I even made character magnets and expected them to disappear (I had more to place out) and they never left either.

I did have an issue with someone putting them all upside down but I have only myself to blame for that one since I raised the scoundrel that was doing it (my DS and his DF were next door).:rotfl2:

The last full day at sea I was leaving the cabin first thing in the morning and there was a grandmother with her grandson just arriving at the cabin across from me. The little boy commented to his grandmother about where she got all the magnets. At that point we both realized that my door was empty and they had taken all of my magnets and placed them on hers!! We just had a good laugh and I put them all back on my door.

stuff like that would be done by kids - mostly teens - it's random... I've never had a problem... QUOTE]

Unfortunately this is true. We had someone pound on our stateroom door, when I looked out it was kids running down the hall doing it. We have seen kids hit all the bottons on the elevators and think it's pretty funny. It only takes one rude kid (or adult) to ruin part of someones day. I think this is the exception to the rule.

Because we have seen kids that were very courteous while on our cruises as well.

Wow, do they steal fish extenders too???

Unfortunately, I have read here on the dis of it happening. That's why (most) everyone zip ties them so they can't just be grabbed. Of course, they could still be cut off if someone really wanted to be an........not so nice person. lol

The most offensive things I have seen written on the white boards are examples of poor spelling. Some crued messages were written when the offender simply meant to be crude.

I'm sure glad our cabins are at the end of the hall near the captain's quarters!! There shouldn't be too much traffic!

There are always a few motley people on board

Yes, they steal fish extenders too. We had one that I made and had embroidered (Have Disney Brother sewing machine). Each pocket was themed on each of the 4 restaurants on board. It was zip tied (with two heavy duty ties) to the fish and was still stolen. I was heart broken. Guest services was less than helpful. Telling me that if it is something nice, unique and Disney related, they get stolen. So they gave me paper and scotch tape to post a note to the thief (I felt I had to vent). So what happened? We got back from a long 8 hr excursion in Cozumel, finally put it behind us. As soon as we got back, the housekeeping manager was at our door to tell us they took down our note. Told him fine, we didn't want to discuss it just wanted to shower and go to dinner. 5 minutes later the head of security was pounding on our door and demanding that we discuss it. (Why, don't know. If the note was down what was the problem??) Worst night we ever had on a Disney cruise -- and we were the victims. Sorry if Disney found that calling a thief a thief was a bad thing to do. But in my book if you steal something that doesn't belong to you, that's the definition of a thief.

That is absolutely terrible!! First- the thief, then DCL treating you as if you had done something wrong. Sickening.

Know that karma has a funny way of coming around... and that thief has asked for some bad karma, to do something like that!:rolleyes1

Agreed! Why did YOU need to be treated that way.

I don't think I could live in a world without karma so PLEASE don't tell me it might not exist. It HAS to! :scared:
