Do people ever misspell your name??

Yep, ,my name is Gail but people spell it Gayle or Gale

It is a rare when someone spells it right. I usually get Krista, sometimes, Crista, sometimes every Kritsty, or Christina.

All the time...first, maiden and married names. I'm used to it now. It's nice that they call or write at all

Always...it's Kaylee. But is often spelt Kayleigh, Kayley, Kalee, Kaley and sometimes Hayley, Hayleigh,Haylee, Haley.

Always. My real name is Caitlin, but I go by Katie. No one can get either right. In all fairness there are a lot of spellings of both those names though.
As for the last name, its actually very simple...5 letters and each one makes the sound it should. No hidden sounds or silent letters or anything. It is sooo difficult for people.

Sometimes people will misspell my first name. Somehow the b's and c's confuse people.

I have gotten Rebbeca Rebbecca, Rebeca, Rebbeca. A lot of times when I say my name I just tell them one b and two c's (Rebecca).

The strangest misspelling was when I applied to college. One of the schools entered my name wrong and I was Recessa. I let them know about the problem and I did eventually get the correct papers with the name Rebecca but I would also get duplicates with the Recessa name.

dandave----polish last name here too. No way can anyone spell it and hardly even can say it, lol.
My first name is misspelled and mis pronounced all the time. Its Deena (Dee na). Seems easy enough yet so difficult for people. Mostly called Dinah (Dine ah) or Deanna. It gets spelled Dena, Dina, Deana but never Deena.

Oh man, all the time! I spell my name Elisabeth, not Elizabeth as it is usually spelled. People are also always astonished that I go by the whole thing--everyone asks if I'm sure I don't go by Beth or Liz. I'm thinking, "Yes, I'm relatively sure that I know what my name is."

Yep, both first and last... I get Elane, Elayne, Elain, and Elanie all for my frist name, with the most common misspell to be Elayne (took BIL 7 years to get it right )

My last name is hopeless for spelling and pronouncing. And to top it off misspelled I commonly get a girls first name so at work I am constantly called by that name in e-mails.

My first name is Debbi and it is constantly mispelled. (Debbie, Debi, Debby, Debra etc.). My last name is mispelled and mispronounced, last name ends in "sch" and the "c" is silent so people are usually spelling it "sh".

I'm surprised at how many people will misspell my name. It's Matthew, with 2 Ts, the most common way, but I run into people who try to spell it with one T more frequently than I would imagine.

People misspell DW MeanLaureen's name more frequently than they spell it right. First, her full first name is Laureen with two Es, but people consistently spell or pronounce it Lauren with one E. Second, she goes by Lauri. Not Lori and not Laurie ... Lauri. So that gets misspelled more often than not as well. I think she's lost track of the number of name badges she's gotten at work with the wrong spelling on them.

All the time. I tell them that it is Theresa with an "h". Told this to someone that was mailing me something one time. The letter came addressed with the name spelled Teresah.

Yes, my maiden name. I had one of those nice long Italian names that no one could either spell or pronounce.

My maiden name wasn't spelled the way it was pronounced. No one got it right. I have a simple last name now. My first name Laurie gets misspelled quite a bit, and I have a few people that insist on calling me Laura.

Always...ugh! It's "ey" not "cy" and everyone makes this mistake. It was really annoying when I was little because I could never find those cute monogrammed pens or pencils (or anything for that matter) with my name spelled right - it was always just the easier of the two (with the "cy").

I also just took back my maiden name after my divorce and my married name was a real difficult name for people. It's actually easy but people make it difficult. "Platte" silent "e" but people have called us everything from "plate" to (I loved the woman who put a french twist on it (it's really an Irish name) Plah-te'

Maiden name is really common but people take out letters all the time...oh well
