Do Men Love Disney Resorts, too?

Are You Kidding!!! I'm going to WDW with or without DW and DD! Of course there're coming, but if we don't go for 10 day and a 4 day every year, I'm frosted! :3dglasses

(Posted by Chobie) My DH is more of a mermaid man

we'll me too - especially after our encounter with the r-rated ariel at the grotto in 2000. I'll be discreet. My 2 boys wanted to get Ariel's autograph and the line was short, so we got in line. OK, I will admit, I noticed that Arial was cute, but I'm not much of an eye wanderer - my wife is still the cutie to me. Anyway, when we got close, we (my wife had now joined us) noticed that Ariel's mer-suit was a little too low-cut in the front. Exposing more than anyone needed to see...

Ok, I've heard it all...Mermaids turning into a hootchie kootchie girl. Walt's turning in his grave again. ;)

My DH likes the evil gals too. Years ago, they had a night shirt at Disney that had all the evil queens on them that said "Bad Girls Club" on it. I used to wear that and he loved it. He calls me Bad Girl. I wish they still had that night shirt in the shops. I found it in the New Orleans section of DL at the sourcerors shop.

LOL :rotfl:

It sounds like the identification factor doesn't hold the same kind of draw for men.
:flower:

Unfortunately, my DH doesn't like WDW at all :sad2: He went with me in 2000 and hated it all. But I married him anyway.

Now, I just visit WDW with my friends. DH says he will go once we have kids, but not before. I'm still trying to convince him that it is a wonderful place though, or to let me buy into DVC. But he is not budging.

Sure, because the Disney resorts really have nothing at all to do with the Princesses.

Theming is as follows:
The Contemporary: a futuristic view of a resort hotel
The Polynesian: The Tropics of the South Pacific
The Grand Floridian: Victorian Seaside resorts of turn of the century Florida
The Wilderness Lodge: Turn of the century national park lodges
Fort Wilderness; camping
The Beach Club: Turn of the century seaside resort in New England, with "beachy" accents
The Yacht Club: Turn of the century seaside resort in New England with emphasis on the Nautical theming
The Boardwalk: 20th century seaside resorts found on the Jersey Shore complete with a detailed replica of the boardwalk.
Caribbean Beach Resort: modeled after resort of the Caribbean islands
Port Orleans French Quarter: a Disney-fied version of the French Quarter in New Orleans
Port Orleans Riverside- based on the lifestyle and architecture of Mississippi River communities in antebellum Louisiana.
Coronado Springs- Inspired by northern Mexico and the American Southwest
Animal Kingdom Lodge-- designed by the same archetect as the Wilderness Lodge, this resort celebrates Africa and animals
All Star Sports, Music and Movies-- celebrate American sports, all types of music and Disney movies with large icons symbolic of each. Pools are also themed along these lines.. Sports has large Icons of Football helmets, tennis rackets and baseball bats. Music features a Grand Piano and Guitar shaped pool, and has icons of music styles including Country, Jazz, Broadway, Rock, and Calypso. Movies is the newest and includes bigger than life icons of Woody and Buzz, the Dalmations, the Fantasia Characters, the Mighty Ducksm etc. There are 2 pools, one themed around Fantasia with Sorcerer Mickey in a huge spray of water, and the Mighty Ducks pool with oversized hockey goals at each end.
The newest is Pop Century, which is created along the lines of the All Star resorts. Here the areas are themed around the decades of the 20th Century. The Legendary Years, which will include from 1900 through the 1940's hasn't been completed, however the 1950's through the 90's have. You will find larger than life Bowling pins and Lady and the Tramp at the 50's building. You will find the Hippy Dippy Pool at the 60's building, etc.

As you can see, there is a little something for just about everyone... but really.. no princesses.

Yeah, we do. Especially if you have kids. It just makes it that much better.

Where can you have that much clean, wholesome, family fun?

I know sometimes the real world seems pretty wild, but I think old Walt kad a pretty good idea.
