i have got my flight booked for september.

i had originally booked to stay on I.Drive. But Simon (the great mod/author) says that there are some great deals on at dreamsunlimited.com - 7 nights for four - is that the same as the fairy tale pacakge?

But i wanted to see some things on I.Drive.

I won't be driving either - what do i do?! Help needed please

A lot depends on all your plans. You can take a taxi from any Disney resort to any place you wanted to go on International Drive. If you stay there (I. Drive), you would have to make sure they had a decent shuttle to any park you wanted to go to.

You could take a taxi over to I-Drive and then use the trolley to get around on I-Drive. I believe there is a website about the trolley but not sure what it is. I think the name of the trolley is the I-Trolley.

You won't have a rental car? My biased opinion, but if you're spending the dough for air fare, hotel, and park passes, etc. you can get great deals on rental cars for a week. That way you're free to tour the area at your leisure, which is half the fun. If you're staying on I Drive, I don't care which hotel it is the transportation to and from the parks is not ideal. It is more than worth it to have your own rental car if you're staying anywhere off-site.

Also, don't limit yourself to I Drive. The Disney Village area is very nice, and there are many nice hotels right in Disney Village, and right outside that area.

I second that! I wouldn't want to stay right in the I drive area - too congested! Close is good, but right on it is, in our opinion, mayhem. I did Disney one time sans car, and I stayed on-site for 3 nts. NEVER again will I be without a car.

Since 1997 my parents and I have stayed in the I-drive area, and always use Universal Blvd as a way around I-Drive. A few of the hotels that have I-drive addresses may actually have entrances on Universal BLVD. The last few yrs we have stay at either the Doubletree Castle or the Holiday Inn/ convention center both. both of these have the main entrances on Universal BLVD. with the Castle having a I-drive addy.

there is at least 5-6 hotels that are actually on Universal BLVD

the I-ride Trolley web address ishttp://www.iridetrolley.com/

Too congested on I Drive? I think that depends upon where you are staying. Traffic was never much of an issue at the Vistana Villages. Short drive up I Drive to all the sites and close to DW.

I tend to avoid I-Drive between Belz and Sand Lake Drive. It usually gets congested there after around 5 pm and continues until around midnight or 1 am. Sometimes it's easier to walk down that stretch of I-Drive. I try to stay on Universal Blvd. I've never seen congestion there!

Thank you for all your kind advice.

I am really confused!

As I have already done Universal and IOA when i went this March. So i am not sure that i want to go back there as i have only seven days in Florida.
But also I don't want to do Disney every single day...

Oh decisions are the worse..!

Also I would like to see the Hard Rock Vault on I Drive, The Mercado, Wet N Wild and maybe Ripleys Believe it or not...

HELP!

If you want to see hard rock vault and ripley's you should stay here!http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/HI/hd/mcocc

this is right in back of the Hard rock vault and ripley's you can walk to there from this hotel I did this a couple this past March!

also the Titanic exhibit at the mercado is right there too

in my opinion i would not stay on intern'l drive.
it is too congested and takes alot of time getting around.
i do like kissamee alot better. very convenient to get around alot of restuarants and alot to do.

I rather I drive area then kissimmee. with Universal Blvd runnig Parallel to I drive it makes It much better!!!
