Do I really need Eat to the Beat dining package?

I didn't post this in the restaurant forum because it's really more of a touring/show question. Never been to the Eat to the Beat concert series myself. I've been to F&W, but never interested in who was playing. The specific date I'm looking at is October 5th with Blues Traveler. I just looked and there are reservations available at Garden Grill (which is where I'm eating at that day anyway) with the dining package. But I really don't want to burn 2 dining credits on that. Are the lines long enough that I'll regret not doing the package later?? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Most of the capacity in past years has been dining package and some FP+. Standby is not a great plan if you really want to see them and get a seat.

If you are a Chase Credit/Debit card holder, another thing to be looking for is the "possibility" that The Chase Lounge "may" offer ETTB wristbands again this year.:)

Last year we used a fourth fast pass on an 8pm Sugar Ray concert. Ended up in the second row stage left. My advice is if it is a MUST that you see Blues Traveler then better safe than sorry.

Somehow I feel the demand for Tiffany won't be as great when I'm there. I could be wrong.
I'm there the same time. I definitely want to hear her concert, but I don't need to see it if it's crowded. So I'll wing it and hang back at the American pavilion and listen.

To clarify my Post,"historically" ETTB wristrbands have been for DISNEY Visa Chase card holders only.:)

What is the procedure for the wristbands? Do they hand them out at a certain times/location? I'm just curious as I have never heard of them.

Thanks!

Honestly, I would worry about it. If there is room, then great. If not, you can hear and see things from outside the theatre quite well.

For the Chase Disney Visa holders, have they historically disbursed wristbands for day of shows only? Do they disburse for one show per night only?

We have never gotten wrist bands for any of the ETTB shows. We usually get a drink and stand at the back of the seating and watch/listen to the show. If you want a wrist band you can check out the Chase Lounge. All in all there isn't really a bad view from standing at the back of the seating area. :) We have seen a few different shows this way and it gives us the opportunity to move along when we are ready without obstructing anyone's view. :)

We are going for BT as well and Wilson Philips and Tiffany <3 Our plan is always to just grab some drinks and hang back in American Adventure. We can still see and hear it all and have the freedom of moving around for more drinks! LOL

I did the dining package this year for a Garden Grill PPO breakfast to see Hanson! It is only going to cost us 9 bucks more per person for the breakfast that we were planning on eating that morning anyways. We really wanted to see the show and this way we are guaranteed a seat. I'm not sure I would have paid the prices for the other packages though. We are not on the dining plan and usually share meals/don't order appetizers, so they were really expensive.

There are no daytime Eat to the Beat concerts, only evening shows. Disney Visa cardholders can pick one wristbanded show per day (subject to availability, of course). They start giving them out when the lounge opens at 11 a.m. and they're first-come, first-serve. I may be wrong, but I don't think we have confirmation yet that there WILL be DV wristbands for EttB this year though.

What tier of fast pass is eat to the beat?

So far, they're not available this year. But they were Tier 1 last year.

I have never done the dining package or any of the other "get the fast pass" options and never had a problem getting into any show. If you want front row seats then you might need to do something but sitting in the back? Not generally a problem

Another person who has never had a problem just being there to see a show. I've found there are usually seats in the back, or on the side planters or even just standing.
