We are staying at Bay Lake Tower the last week in September, we will probably get breakfast most days at the quick service location but I was just wondering if I need to make reservations so that we can get breakfast at The Wave a couple of times?

Probably not, unless you are going at a very busy time. If you call the night before and maybe even the morning of and are flexible with your time you will probably be OK. You may even do OK with walking up, but if you know ahead a time I would call.

Touring plans currently has our days on the crowd calendar at 1-4 (depending on the day), not sure if free dining crosses our dates (24th - 30th Sept).

I think I'll just try the night before and see what I can get - if not we'll eat quick service :)

We've had good luck booking the Wave breakfasts the night before. Although it seems more popular these days.

Generally no, so long as you are not going during a high traffic time (right before MK open on busy days, late brunch time on Sundays). Also, with the buffet, they tend to be able to seat/serve more guests than a standard menu-only restaurant). During free dining though, you never know lol.

I've never had trouble walking up to a non-character breakfast; maybe 10 minutes at Kona is the worst. But then again, I tend not to go during busy times.
