We used the letter for the DDE discount last week, since we're still waiting for the actual cards, (after ordering it on Feb 8th!), and were asked to show ID twice. I'd bring my DL to be sure.
You should always bring ID to the parks - if your AP ticket has a problem it's the only way to get in and they have asked me for mine before (say, your biometrics get messed up).
Personally, because of the current climate of the world, I never leave my house without photo ID. It may not be a happy thought, but you never know when you will need it.
I agree. Once in a while I have had a problem with my AP and the finger scan and I was asked by the person at the turnstile for a picture ID to compare with my name on the AP.
