Do I need a fastpass for Expedition Everest?

We will be going to Disney World 9/15-21. The crowd calendar for that week is low. We also based our visits to each park using the crowd calendar so our visit to AK is on a day with low crowds. We booked Fastpasses for that day for Dinosaur, Kilimanjaro and Khalil Rapids. Not even sure if my son will get on the Dinosaur ride (maybe he will) - it might be scary for him. Do you think I should switch out for Exp Everest? Not for my son but for me and my hubs to ride it. or will it not matter because its a low crowd level. Thoughts?

Expedition Evereset is much more likely to have a long line than Dino, so I'd make the switch. I suspect you'll be able to easily get your 4th FP+ for Dino if you want, while EE very well might be all gone by the time you're ready for 4th FP.

My experience is if you get there at around rope drop you can ride it without much wait. We rode it a few times in a row before the line started getting long. (End of June) YMMV

Agreed.

EE won't have much of a line until after 10. So I would just head that way first.

I would either hit EE at rope drop or make the FP for it. There was only one time when we didn't need a FP for EE, and this was around 4pm on a day AK closed at 5pm, and AK happened to be a most recommended park on this day since it was following a day that AK EMH.

I agree. Even when it is by season we head straight there and can ride it five times with no line.

And if you don't mind splitting up (one of you would be watching DS when the other rides anyway right?) EE has a single rider line that goes pretty quickly.

I agree. Last time we were there in Sept we rode EE at rope drop and again later that trip at around 20 mins until park closing. At the park closing we rode it 5 times in a row and once the CM's didn't even make us get off.

I'd go with EE rather than Dino. Not sure if you were planning on rope drop but if so, the line will be even shorter for Dinosaur than EE. We go during slow times too and during the day, the EE line will be longer so we FP that one instead of Dino.

In my experience that week is pretty slow. But, you will need a FP+ for dino and EE. We usually ride the safari standby with little wait. We don't like Kali so i don't have any specifics, but I remember being shocked by the long wait in the past especially if it is hot out.
