Do I have to make PS for April??

I am a WDW veteran but I always go when it is very quiet, rarely do I ever have to make ressies. I am going in April for the 1st time. I like the spontaneous dining, i don't want to have to plan them now for 6 weeks from now. Any recommendations??

this might be spring break time for some schools/colleges. better safe than sorry. i'd make them for the places i really, really wanted to eat at. good luck!

We have been in late April every year since 1997, and its hit-or-miss as far as PS go. Lunch is rarely a problem--you can usually walk in almost anywhere. However, dinner can be problematic. The more popular restaurants generally fill up.

What we do is make the PS before we go, but just cancel them if our mood changes at the time. (For some reason, it appears that this April may be a bit busier than usual.)

lots of school breaks in April can mean lots of crowds. If you have your heart set on dining somewhere I would see about getting PS's as soon as possible. I called to change a few for my May trip and everything I wanted to switch to was booked. You could always cancel later, but if you really want something I would make the PS now.

Make the PS's most of our trips are in late March early April or late April and we have always been glad to have them, (my DH and I hate to wait when we are hungry or tired). If the crowds are lite, it is easy to make changes or just walk up but don't count on it especially the popular places (LTT, Rose and Crown, Cape May Cafe, Boma, etc.)

I did make 1 PS today (a huge step for me ) I was making my ressies for the Hidden Treasures tour at WS, and the lovely CM asked if I wanted to have lunch in one of the WS restaurants right after the tour. I thought this was a great idea! I made ressies for Alfredo's cause I am bringing my Italian, senior citizen father who's a little afraid of ''foreign'' food It was really easy, I figured I'd have to call 2 different #'s, 1 for the tour and 1 for the lunch ressie but she was a very helpful CM.
