Do I book room and than add FD?

Hi--
Can anyone please answer some questions for me? Do you typically book your room first, and then add DDP when it is offered as free? Or do you book your room with DDP and then switch it to free later? Or do you not book at all until free dining is offered?

Also has free dining ever been offered mid November in the past?

I've always paid for DDP and love it but have never gotten it free.

You can book a room only now and if free DDP is offered you can call and they will cancel your room only and then book your package. If it's offered as in the past you will have to book a min. of a 2 day base ticket.

I usually will book a room only and then rebook when the free DDP is offered.
