Do GT rates ever go even lower as cruise date approaches?

We're considering booking an IGT rate on a cruise taking place next month. Do GT rates ever go even lower as the cruise date gets closer, or are they consistent the entire time once offered?

Here's a thread that has tracked *GT and other discounts offered for the past few years. You can see occasionally there are changes (I think they are marked in orange), though the few times I've paid attention that meant a different category was offered or removed, not a reduction in price.

*GT rates may come and go; it may change or simply disappear. It's sort of a "take your chances" thing - if you feel the rate is acceptable to your budget, I'd book because it may not be available tomorrow or even this evening. But if you are on the fence about that cruise anyway, and willing to lose the opportunity, feel free to wait and see if a better offer comes out.

Enjoy your cruise!

In my experience, no. I tracked it once for a cruise I was thinking of taking and as it got closer the IGT / OGT / VGT rates disappeared. Disney says they only offer a select number of rooms at this lower restricted fare price. They don't say when they are almost gone so its a gamble to wait unless as the previous poster mentioned you are ok with losing the opportunity.

I've never seen GT rates go down. They're typically as low as DCL will go. And as other posters indicated, they don't always last for long.

Perfect, thank you for the link to that thread! I was looking for something similar but missed that for some reason!
