Do DVC members pay to park at MK?

....."took the long way through World Showcase after illuminations and enjoyed disney without the guests as we meandered back to transportation. (After a glass of wine or 2 in France just before closing............."

I like this idea!! :hyper:

Do I understand that it's the DVC home resorts that have to 'buddy' buses with other DVC home resorts but places like Carribean, etc have their own buses that don't stop at other resorts?

OKW has their own buses
SSR is supposed to have their own
VWL shares with WL

The real problem is the Epcot Area Resorts as a whole - Disney sees them all as one resort for Transport sharing so a bus can go from Swan to Dolphin to Yacht Club to Beach Club/Beach CLub Villas to Boardwalk Inn/Boardwalk Villas - that is a whole lot of stop and go

OKW does not share but has 5 stops internally. The deluxe resorts and the DVC resorts connected to them all share busses. The value and moderate resorts do not share because they are so large.

To contribute to the MK drive/bus debate:

In consecutive years and under identical circumstances, we both took the bus and drove to MK. The circumstances were Sunday early entry from BCV in early Dec, each time leaving our room at 7:15. In our case, driving was the clear winner, as we arrived at MK 10 minutes earlier with less hassle. Note that the express monorail was not running that early but even with stops at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian we did better.

This is not to say that driving is always better, but the truth is that it's only a five-minute drive from Beach Club to the MK parking lot. In our case the bus was not scheduled to leave until 7:30, but flexible departure time is the #1 advantage of driving. Our bus made a stop at Boardwalk, but that's standard for Epcot resorts.

The only Disney resort that does not share buses with other resorts, and does not have multiple bus stops within the resort, is Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Caribbean Beach has 7 bus stops. Coronado Springs has 4. OKW has 5.

Anybody know how many SSR will have? Disney Institute had something like 8.
