We are traveling with a 3yr old to WDW and will be needing to take a cab a few times. Do cabs have car seats or will our 3yr old not need one?

Thanks in Advance!!

Your 3yo will need a car seat in a cab, and yes, some do have them. However, you will most likely have to call and specifically request one and wait for it to show up. (As opposed to being able to hop in a cab that might be waiting at the hotel - many busier hotels always have cabs available.)

Be aware, however, that these car seats are more likely to be improperly installed. Heck, even when the Disney Vacation Club van came to pick us up to take us over to the sales center for our tour before we bought, the car seat in it was not only barely even buckled it, it was wet in the seat. So be sure to check out the installation - don't be shy about it.

I would bring your own if you can! I'm assuming that you are flying...just let her ride in it on the plane, she's safer that way anyway. You never know if the seats they provide are expired, recalled, or been in an accident. Plus you might have to reinstall it if it's not correct or take it apart to adjust the straps to the correct position. All of which may prove difficult since you may not be familiar with the seat and it may not have an instruction book with it.
