Do a lot of people give their kids bubbles

You're playing devil's advocate, and that's fine, but laughing at other people's allergies is not. If you had a sever peanut allergy, would it be :rotfl2: if I rubbed peanut butter on your arm in line? Just saying.

Oh, I'm a devil alright. ;) I don't care what people do - bring a circus elephant and trapeze act into line for all I care. (btw - when I hear the word snowflake I want to punch things). Call them what they are, little brats.

I do have a hard time believing someone is going to go into anaphylaxis shock because they get a drop of blowing bubbles on their shirt or hair. So, in addition to the warnings Disney now has in place at the entrance to their rides, they need to put one for bubble allergies? It's absurd, childish, and yes, it's funny to think someone would say such a ridiculous thing.

Oh goodness on our last trip, we were over by the rose garden getting ready to watch Wishes and these two very misbehaved little kids were running around with a bubble gun and spraying bubbles everywhere :sad2: I was SO annoyed, they were even spraying them at a baby in a carriage. The parents were yelling at them to stop, but never took the bubbles away. These kids completely ruined by Wishes viewing because of those darn bubbles.

Those of you who let your kids use bubbles at the park: PLEASE monitor where they are blowing them, how much they are blowing-it can really aggravate nearby park guests. I don't mind a few here and there, but the steady stream in my face throughout Wishes was completely obnoxious.

Oh, I'm a devil alright. Not sure about the advocate part. ;) I don't care what people do - bring a circus elephant and trapeze act into line for all I care. (btw - when I hear the word snowflake I want to punch small animals). Call them what they are, little brats.

Did anyone else mention anaphylaxis? Sounds to me like you're the one blowing this out of proportion. Most people have mentioned topical allergies. It isn't unreasonable to expect that others will refrain from getting stuff on your skin or clothing, regardless of allergies.

wow... since alot of people here go often I am shocked you have not seen the little bubble guns they sell EVERYWHERE at wdw...I got my dd4 one last time we were there...it was cute, it lights up at dark and every kid I saw there after dark had one blowing bubbles everywhere....this was in April.I plan to get her another one in Dec when we go back.Really, they sell them at all the little carts and have extra little bottles of bubbles at all the gift shops (those are not little bottles of bubbles, they are refills for the guns).

Thanks for reminding me that I need to go grab some bubbles for my trip. :rotfl2:

Look... some of yall need to get a grip and stop villianizing (this that a word) parents that are trying to make their trip more enjoyable for everyone involved. We all know that there are plenty of non responsible adults out there that shouldn't even be allowed to breed much less bring bubbles into a park, but the majority of parents that bother to drag bubbles to the parks are responsible users. If someone is blowing bubbles and it is annoying, offending, ruining your $1000 purse/clothes/jacket, or making your thoat swell up so bad that you can't breathe, then ask them to stop. I am about 90% that they will stop out of common sense. Or here is a better idea... you can leave the area. You really are not responsible for others actions, only your own. Most parents are not going toblow nonstop bubbles for hours at a time. The kids or the parent will get bored quickly and think of another way to personally annoy you.

Maybe we should make up a set of guidelines for bubble use in the parks.

1. No bubbles indoors.
2. No bubbles in a close proxemity to others...aka Peter Pan's Flight ride inside the queue.
3. Do not throw all the bubble solution onto the ground.
4. Only blow bubbles into an open area. Be mindful of wind conditions.
5. No bubbles on the bus.
6. No children under the age of 16 should have access to the bubbles.

Who will volunteer to be the bubble police and hand these handy dandy rules out at the entrance to the park??? Any takers? Better yet, we can take up a collectionand publish a public service announcement that will run in the Orlando area.

Seriously - if you let a few bubbles ruin your vacation, you have bigger problems than the bubbles.

Now, if I wanted to be a villian I would think of better ways to annoy someone and ruin their vacation, like maybe pool hopping or using my refillable mug from 2007. ;)

:rotfl::worship:

I personally find this thread quite amusing. popcorn:: Maybe I should read it to my kids in line.

And absolutely NO BUBBLES in Mickey's Philharmagic or the Great Movie Ride. Someone should petition Disney to take them out straight away! Also, when you see a Disney CM blowing bubbles at the resort pools to entertain the little kids, take them down and beat them senseless. We can't have bubbles around the adult snowflakes.

Some of you really need a sense of humor. :lmao:

Naughty Disney. This needs to be added to the Disboard petition to remove bubbles.

I know right? There are many rides that have bubbles falling in them...alot more then a random bubble from a 3 yr old.I have never seen so many people in one place allergic to soap, smoke, germ x and lysol (for those of us that spray lysol in our room before someone else has checked in ) ...ect ect ect...and all on ONE disney forum...go figure. If people have a issue with the bubbles take it to wdw because THEY are selling those bubble guns by the dozens every night! The nights we were there everywhere I looked kids were blowing bubbles..I LOVED it, those kids looked like they were so happy.:wizard: I cant wait to get another one when we go back,I even played with it!
and it has NOTHING to do with having to keep my dd4 busy in line, you would have a hard time finding a better acting child ...who walks (not rides in a stroller) and does not whine about being tired...she just like bubbles! YAY!:cheer2:

Disney sells light up swords too, but I wouldn't want to be in line with a kid who was jabbing and slashing it all around. Even if they were doing it so they wouldn't cry or whine in line.

There is an appropriate time and place for everything. But many of those things are not appropriate when you are standing 6 inches away from another person. Use your bubbles when other people are not forced to be by you, and can leave if they are bothered by them. Geeze, show some consideration for those around you.

To the pp who mentioned stickers/books : The child could start putting stickers on places they shouldn't be and if the parent/child reads a book outloud I'm sure someone would be offended. You KNOW someone will complain!

I sure do wish people visiting the parks would use more deoderant. Having to stand in such close proximity with smelly people who can't apply it properly before they leave their resort infringes on my right as a paying Disney park guest. Plus, I'm allergic to body odor. It makes my nose hurt, I start coughing, and then I may or may not vomit in the bushes.

You know someone will complain about perfume/deodorant being too strong!:rotfl2:

You could always carry a small bottle of it around, and then offer it to people.:)

3 is too young for disney world

:lmao:My youngest niece wasn't even 3 MONTHS old for her first trip to WDW. And just over a year old for her second one. She doesn't remember those trips, but she watches the videos of them and knows that she had a good time.
