i was so surprised as I cancelled original ADR & then rearranged at a later date. ( just as well I did)

We all enjoyed the food, service and specifically the surroundings.

And other restaurants which fall into a similar theming (obviously no animals!!) and yummy food too?

The most obvious suggestions if you like this type of food and the environment are Boma (buffet) and Jiko (signature restaurant), both at Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House (Sanaa is at Kidani). No animal viewing during the meal, but plenty of areas to view from the resort before or after.

We love Sanaa and have not eaten at Jiko yet but will be trying it next week. Have heard great things and love the look of their menu.

We also really liked Tusker House (buffet/character meal) in Animal Kingdom.

Thanks.

I liked Tusker house also-but dh not a fan of character dining.
However, I think it would be quite fun for his mom to experience -
as she specified no character dining on our previous trip;but when we were at contempo she was breaking her neck trying to see into chef mickeys.:drinking::drinking:

I agree that you might really enjoy Jiko ( one of our favorite signature restaurants) or Boma (yes, its a buffet, but it is the BEST buffet on property, with a lot of foods you won't find anywhere else on property).

Spice Road Table is our newest favorite. You have your choice of ordering a series of small plates (tapas) or a traditional appetiser/entree. They also have an interesting selection of wines. And the restaurant is right beside the lagoon with both covered patio or indoor seating. Theming is Moroccan/North African, while the menu is a melange of Moroccan/Spanish/Middle East.

Off to have a read of menus.:)

We are going to Sanaa for the first time on our upcoming trip and are very excited after all of the good feedback we've seen here and elsewhere. Any recommendations on whether we should go at noon on our arrival day or 5:40 pm on a break/resort day?

We had a 5pm reservation.
Arrived early & seated almost immediately.

We were checked in and our orders taken before 5pm-simply marvellous.

Agree with the others if you loved Sanaa than definitely try Jiko, it's my favorite restaurant on property. You may also like Yak n Yeti it has a ton of Asian dining options, to include some curries, and the theming is also great
