DME one way?

You can use DME for one way travel; no problem. AirTran is a participating airline, but that only means anything with regard to the resort airline check-in service available for guests leaving WDW. You can use all inbound DME services—including luggage handling—no matter what airline you are flying on and you can use the bus transfer service from your resort to MCO after your stay regardless of what airline you are on.

Yep! I've done it before and I'm doing it again in December. Before, I rode down with friends for a convention and they dropped me off on their way back home, but I needed ME to get to the airport to leave. I just told the CM I talked to when making reservations that I only needed it on departure.

I can't tell you anything about AirTran, as I've never used them. You can only get to Orlando from Raleigh on AirTran via New York...no thanks!;)
