DME - is it too late?

I am leaving in two weeks and already have all my information from my TA. I was planning to rent a car andrhave now changed my mind. is it too late to book DME? We are staying at Port Orleans. Can I call Disney direct or does it have to be booked through my TA?

It's not too late. I'd have your TA add it for you. I never use TAs for WDW and have added ME late myself with no problem. You might not get your yellow tags in time, but with 2 weeks yet, I bet you will.

Not a problem at all I booked my last trip 10 days before leaving, I didn't get the DME packet in time but that wasn't a problem either i just had to stop at the desk and get a voucher printed and they picked up my luggage even though I didn't have the yellow tags.

In some cases they will Fed Ex your packet to make sure you get it, if you don't get one then it is not a big deal ( as other posters have already said), Be sure to keep your luggage claim checks in a safe, but easy to get to spot ( like your pocket) because Disney will need them when you get there and you don't want to be digging around for them at the counter. Have a safe and fun trip.
