Hi all,

Heading to WDW in October and was wondering should I be expecting any documents in the post to enable me to use DME? Confirmations etc? Or is the process completely paper free? We have booked directly with Disney.

are you staying onsite?
if so, you should already be able to get into your reservation on MDE.
we have a reservation with disney uk - it all appears inside our MDE.
No paperwork at all.

I think OP is talking about DME (Magical Express) not My Disney Experience

@OP : if you have booked DME (either by calling, or booking online) after you've booked your stay, then you're good to go. No paperwork. Just go to the DME counter, and with yourname they'll find you in the system

If you haven't booked DME yet, you'll need to do it.

oh of course you're right!!! i just looked at initials and didn't think about the meaning!!! (forehead slap!!)

We just got back a few days ago. This was a last minute trip planned on a Monday and we flew there on Friday. We just went up to ME with our confirmation number and good to go!

I booked the flight direct with Disney so im not sure if I have to book the magical express on top or if it is already included in the package.

You always need to book the Magical Express on top unless a reservation for that is already showing in your room reservation confirmation or already showing in your My Disney Experience online page.

you need to book it on top

To make it simple, you need to let disney know that you will be using the service.
Even if you booked your flight with Disney, you could rent a car, take a cab, or whatever, to go to your hotel.

DME is included in your package (it is from the moment you have a room reservation) but you still need to book it separatly

it's like Fastpasses, they're included in your tickets, but you still need to book them
it's like the dining plan. Food is included, but you still need to book your restaurant
