Hello. It's hard to believe but we've never done this... we always went to the resort first, settled in, then traveled to the parks.
This next trip, our stay is at Jambo. In the effort to save time, may we go straight to the parks somehow on DME then arrive at our resort later to settle in? I know that online check in is an option, but having such a tight window, were hoping to get into MK quickly. Our arrival day is one of the party dates, and arrive MCO at 2:30. Arriving at the park before 4:30 is the goal. Thanks for any advice!

DME will take you right to your resort. Check in shouldn't take long, I would do it, if room is ready drop bags and run. If room not ready leave with bell services and run.

No, DME will not take you to a park. It will take you to your resort. You cannot choose which bus to ride. There may be some other resorts serviced by your bus, and I suppose you could get off at the first one if you really wanted.

No DME, by its agreement with MCO, is a resort transfer service. You can only go to a resort first.

I will give you our recent experience and see if it helps...

We arrived in Tampa on a Thursday morning and landed around 9:00am. We rented a car and drove to the AKL, but only stopped in the parking lot long enough to figure out how to get to Target. (I was driving and DH is a little techno-challenged and couldn't figure out how to Google ito_O) We drove to Target, swinging through the Chick-fil-A drive through on the way, and when we got in the parking lot, we received a text that our room was ready. That was at 11:26am, so about 30 minutes AFTER we'd already arrived at the resort...from TAMPA.

We never went to the check in desk when we got back from Target. Since we had our room number, we returned with the groceries and went straight to the room. I would assume that the same would hold true for you. If you do online check in (which we had done), you can skip the desk altogether. If you don't get the "room ready" text, you can always drop your bags with bell services and head out. When you get back, if you haven't received your text yet, you can always stop at the desk at that point.
