Hi all,

My DD and I are doing a split-stay. 5 day package with tickets and dining at POP Sept 25-Sept 30, then 5 day RO at AoA Sept 30-Oct 5.

DH is joining us Oct 2-5, so the last 3 days. I tried getting my TA to add him to the reservation so he could get DME (or else I wouldn't bother and just get him on my RO ressie once I check in), but she said Disney reservations told her they couldn't do it or he would be added to the whole file, and anyway he wouldn't be able to get DME since he's arriving after us.

Is this correct? I thought I had read on here that you could still use DME if it was not your check in or check out day (basically Disney allows one transfer to the airport and one transfer from the airport for each guest).

Please help! Thanks.

DD has arrived on a different day and had no problem. DME was based on flight information.

She also used DME to MCO and back when she had to leave and fly to Atlanta one day during the trip.

Is there a direct line to DME? I'd rather not have to deal with reservations.

TA should be able to add him to the RO reservation - ask her to try again! If your dd is over 18 there will be an extra adult fee for just the nights your DH is joining you.

TA should also be able to add him to DME - we have used DME many times for folks arriving after the rest of the family checks in and also a day or two early.

If the TA still won't add him then just wait till you arrive at AoA and add him when you check in. You can then just call DME and make his reservation last minute. He will have to stop at the DME desk at MCO to get his travel voucher and either give a description of his bags to have them delivered, or get his own bags from the carosel and bring them with him on DME.

Again - your TA should have no problems with either of your requests - Good Luck.

We're doing this for our Sept. trip. DS (17) will arrive 3 days after the rest of us. We called Disney to let them know that plans had changed but nothing in our package will change, we were told to call ME directly and change the info for DS. I called them and gave them his flight info, they said to use the same tags they had already mailed to us, all the info we will need is embedded in the reservation number on the tag. Hoping it works out smoothly.

Both of the things you need CAN be done and it's not a problem.

Yes - but you will still have to add your DH to the room only reservation prior to calling DME to reserve his transportation.
DME - 1 (866) 599-0951

If you were trying to add him to the first part of your stay, then no, it isn't easy. But since you are trying to get him onto the room only part? Should be a non-issue. You can call DME directly and get dh added to the room only part, or just do it yourself once you get to AoA...maybe even prior to that at Pop. You should be able to have him added then, just be sure to give them a day's notice. As long as he is in the system, he can ride the bus. He will have to bring his bags to the bus but that's not a big deal.

Thanks everyone, my TA told me (un prompted) that she will call again because it doesn't sound right.

Just wanted to update everyone and thank you for your info, I went on the DME website myself and signed us all up for DME, and YES right there on the site you can put different people with different arrival days and flights.

I did that, and got my vouchers (in Canada) 3 business days later. Now I have vouchers for DH, and he can take DME.

Interesting fact: he's not been added to my RO reservation yet and still got a voucher. I'm going to add him when I check in. At least he has luggage tags now.

I'm glad someone was able to do this without the person being on the reservation. I've called twice now asking for a person to be added to our reservation who is arriving later, and every time the CM refuses to do it. Telling me to wait until I check in to add the person. I'm going to try calling again. I really don't want to do this when I arrive, especially since the person coming late is a surprise for the kids, so I don't want them overhearing.
