I wanted to check with you experts and make sure I am doing this right....

We have a split stay coming up in October.

First part of trip we will be staying at OKW using dvc which was booked by Aunt for family reunion. I should give her our flight info so she can contact member services to arrange it so that we can catch the DME on arrival to OKW correct?

We are then moving to AOA on our own reservation. I can just add DME myself for the way home since its in our name, right?

ALSO- we booked via southwest but flight is operated by airtran- what info do i give DME? The airtran flight number, or the southwest? confusing!

You can book DME for only one way; I've done that on my last split stay. Call and give DME your flight information for the departure day. For the flight, I would give them the flight number and carrier you were given when you booked the ticket. Sorry, I don't know enough about DVC to answer the question about the arrival DME.

You can give either the Airtran flight no. or the Southwest flight no. It's the time of arrival or departure that counts.

It is better to wait until you get there before making changes to your DME reservation for going home. Less of a chance of something else getting messed up.

Yes, you have it right. Your aunt will get you your DME reservation for arrival.
Then, you can add your departure from AoA with whomever you booked your stay there. They will need the flight number of the flight going home. I'm not sure why you would have two flight numbers though. You should only have one. Give them the flight info that is listed on the airline itinerary that you were emailed from the airline...whichever one it was.
No need to wait until you get there to do this. I do split stays all the time....have never had an issue and I do all the booking months in advance.

What changes? As I understand it, DME will look at this as two one-way bookings.
