I hate being a newbie all over again.

Just booked a stay at VGC. This will be only our 2nd trip to DLR, and our first stay in one of the Disney hotels there. (We did a good neighbor hotel, last time, because there was nothing available on points.)

We're booked Saturday through the following Sunday (8 nights). Looking at the ticket options on the Disneyland web site, the longest available is 5 days. I read on another site that tickets that aren't shown online might be available.

The member web site has a link to buy WDW tickets, but not Disneyland. Does anyone know if DVC Member Services sells Disneyland tickets? If so, do they have them for longer than 5 days? I'd like to get a 7-day ticket. Or do I get the 5-day online and then add on days at the park?

As a DOD civilian, I qualify for some of the military discounted tickets at Shades of Green when visiting WDW. We hardly ever use it, because the DVC annual passes are a better deal for us. At WDW, I don't qualify for the deeply-discounted tickets that service members can buy once a year. But I do qualify for the discounted Magic You Way or the length-of-stay Stars & Stripes tickets. In a quick online search, the only discounted tickets I see for Disneyland are the deeply-discounted ones I don't qualify for. Since there isn't an equivilient of Shades of Green at DLR, it may be that there aren't any ticket discounts that would apply to a DOD civilian. Anyone have any specific experience with this?

Thanks!

Unfortunately DL stopped selling anything longer than a 5 day ticket a little over a year ago I believe. The options are annual pass or you will need to purchase a 2 day ticket.

I have usually just purchased from the DL website prior to a trip since they do offer discounts at times. I have heard of a discount broker or two- mouse savers would be a good place to look for more information on that.

You may want to post on the Disneyland board. I don't think they go over 5 days. Next step is an annual pass.

I usually get the deluxe annual pass, it has blackout dates but when I go it's usually not that time.
