Not sure if I just missed seeing this, <snip>. As of tomorrow (Monday 7/16), all resort guests will have an extra magic hour at both parks every day. So, they can choose each day which park they want to enter an hour before other guests. This is scheduled to go through 9/13. The schedule at that point is yet to be determined.

There are many, many perks available to DLR guests, this is just one. Enjoy it while it lasts....:cool1:

Yep! We were told that they are trying to up the ante more for staying on site, to help justify the premium. As of tomorrow, guests have total choice in the morning, having their pick of park for early entry every day. This will be really nice, because if there is a major power issue and multiple attractions aren't working (as happened with us on Friday), they can just hop over to the other park. :thumbsup2

Also, not enough registered APs were actually showing up to their APEE, so it makes sense to open to hotel guests too to ensure there are enough guests to justify the staffing.

My personal completely uneducated guess is that it will continue.

I really hope it doesn't. There is no way we could afford to stay at any of the DLR resorts, and we only can go to the parks for two days. I want to see Carsland, but if there are already going to be two hour lines at park opening, I'm just not going to be able to do it.

There is really no hint as to what will happen after 9/13. However, my personal theory is that it will go back to T,Th,Sat and Sun for Disneyland and M,W,F for CA Adventure. With the thinning out of crowds in the low season, I don't think they'll want to staff it more than that. But, it's just conjecture.

I thought they started that this weekend...
Someone posted a first day trip report and was told they could attend EMH at either park everyday when they checked into their DLR hotel room.

Maybe they started it unofficially, but either way it's for certain as of tomorrow.

Does this benefit apply only if you buy a vacation package, or do you also get early entry if you get your DL hotel room and tickets separately? I am finding it cheaper to get them separately right now for October since there are no promos out, but I do not want to miss out on early entry.

:)

It applies to anyone who stays at a DLR resort hotel - do not have to buy a package deal. Hopefully, they will continue this benefit.

Wow! Guess that means we will go to bed early and wake up early on this vacation! :goodvibes

Wow, thats great news!

Honestly, people are truly getting a bang for their buck this summer! You now have two great parks with LOTS to do, extra entertainment everywhere, pretty light to normal crowds to see it all for this time of year and now extended hours. Besides how insane RSR lines are, I dont think people can complain much about the resort this summer, especially since they are bending over backwards to get people to see and do as much as possible.

In a way its good the AP EE didnt truly pan out! I mean they are Apers, they have ALL year to go and they have the advantage to pick times to go if they live near by when things settle down. I think the resort guests who are more limited with time and have a few days to see it all should be given the extra hours, which was always part of the deal, but now having it daily is great for them!

Sour grapes here, darn it! We are off site and will arrive behind the crowds now every day for CL no matter how early we are or which day we go.:(
I priced PPHotel for the last part of our vaca and 900+ for 3 days at this point does not fit in the budget.
So at least we have several days to get in the FP line and use single rider as well. We are a group of 7 so we will not all fit on the rides together anyway!
